What are the Healing Oils of the Bible?
The Bible has hundreds of references to essential oils throughout the Old and New Testaments. Moses was given a very precise formula for creating the Holy Anointing Oil in the book of Exodus using essential oils. Jesus was anointed with oil and sent his disciples to anoint the sick for healing. Priests, prophets, and kings were anointed with oils, and essential oils such as hyssop, cedarwood, frankincense, and galbanum were utilized for various remedies, cleansing rituals, and even to stop a plague.

Based on the book Healing Oils of the Bible by David Stewart, PhD and the curriculum he and his wife Lee created, CARE Instructors teach a 2-hour class on Healing Oils of the Bible – essential oils used in ancient times and referenced in scripture. In this class students will take a journey through the Bible and discover what oils were used by ancient cultures including the Israelites and early Christians and why they used them.

Once a year CARE also teaches Advanced Oils of the Bible, which is an 8-hour seminar for a deeper dive into the essential oils mentioned in the scriptures. Learn unique aspects of the Bible and its special relationship to essential oils as well as how teach Healing Oils of the Bible to others.
