Our journey began in February 2014, when I had been recently diagnosed with the BRCA-2 gene. For those that are not familiar with that term, it's the breast cancer gene. Anyone with the gene has a higher risk of breast cancer and the risk of ovarian cancer doubles! Yikes...I know! I had some major decisions to make, but in addition, my son, whose dad died when he was 12,  was a senior in high school, missing his dad and thinking about college, the anxiety was epic! 

I began to research, because, face it...I can't do anything about my gene pool, but I needed to find ways to support my family through better products and here's what I learned while I was researching. The average person applies 300 'yucky' chemicals to their body ever single day, and 80 of those 'yucky' chemicals are applied before breakfast!! Most are from four things: soap, makeup, shampoo and haircare. The biggest pollutants in our home are fabric softeners, dryer sheets, air freshener plugins and candles. You are literally poisoning your self and family every day from the stuff that you can't pronounce in your home, dish soap, cleaners, processed foods and more.  Health and safety dates only exists for 15% of all the chemicals out there, even though they are known respiratory and hormone disruptors. Can you believe that?!  

Enter in my friend, she listened to my 'crazy' life and had shared what she had been researching and about Young Living Essential Oils.  I wanted to try and find products that would support our health in our home, through plant based products and getting rid of 'yucky' chemicals. I went to Young Living's website and looked through their Seed to Seal and after learning, as much as possible, I jumped in. Essential oils are a better way! Young Living promises to stay away from the harsh chemicals and is safe, steam distilled or cold press from pure plants. It smells like a plant, because that is all that is in those wonderful bottles! Seed to Seal is a promise! Nothing else added to adulterate the scent or purity.  We have never regretted the decision.  The health of our family and our home has dramatically changed for the better. Friends are the best, aren't they!
