Updates from GetOiling

See campaign open and click statistics

By popular request, now you can see the open and click rates of individual campaign messages over the lifetime of the campaign.

Go to the Campaigns menu item, then click on the Stats link next to the campaign you want to see the statistics for. Next, you'll see the statistics. For any message that has had at least one open or click, you can click the number to see who exactly opened or clicked a link in that message.

We hope you find this change helpful in being able to gain a deeper understanding of your email marketing efforts.

Use basic formatting and pretty links in discussion room posts

The discussion rooms in the GetOiling member area now allow you and those people in the room to use basic formatting and pretty links in the posts. This includes bold, italic, bulleted and numbered lists, and basic header formatting.  See below for what writing a post looks like now.

Additionally, the member area itself has an updated look and feel.

As always, if you have any questions or feedback, please reach out to support@GetOiling.com .  We hope this helps you and those people in your member area be more expressive and have a better experience.

View your online classes more easily

Online classes just got an upgrade!

There now is a View Class button when you're editing an online class if your class is in a vault. Click it and it will take you right to the class inside of the vault! No more looking through vaults to see if the class is inside of a vault yet.

Also, if your plan supports it, there now is an Advanced link on the online class setup page. This will show a Sidebar HTML field that allows you to plug in any HTML that you might want on the page. This is great for adding third-party code or other widgets.

Quantity-limited sales, private events, and parallax websites on phones

Three exciting announcements for today!

Quantity-Limited Purchases

There's now a way to sell items or event seats and put a limit on the number of items that can be purchased. In the page builder, click the Settings button and go to the Payments tab. Where the payment options are listed, there now is a Max # of Sales field. Leave it blank for unlimited sales (great for digital products) or if you have quantity limited items, such as events or inventory, put in a number and a tag. When someone visits the page to check out, it will look to see how many contacts are tagged with the tag that's associated with the payment option and will show the number remaining or prevent the person from purchasing if they aren't any remaining to purchase.

Private Events

The Events RSVP feature now has a way to hide events from the events list on your website by setting it to "direct link only".  There is a new field shown below when editing events. Choose "direct link only" and the event will only show up when you give someone the link. It won't show on the events list page.

Parallax on Phones

The parallax setting in the page builder now works on phones! Parallax is the scrolling effect where the background image scrolls at a different speed than the foreground content.  Below is a short animation showing how this can look, as an example. Previously parallax only worked on larger screen devices but now it works on phones, too, allowing you to expand your creativity when designing websites.

As always, we hope these changes allow you to get better results in growing your business. If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to support@GetOiling.com

Updated Menu, Look and Feel, and Ease-Of-Use Improvements

We hope you find today's update helpful for you (plus, we're super excited about it!) Here are just some of the highlights:

  • Updated menu: faster access to the highest-used features
  • Easier to use: on all devices (especially phones), the updated look and feel makes it easier to navigate and understand (plus, no more side-scrolling on mobile!)
  • Revamped menu editor: edit your website's top menu more easily. Drag and drop menu items between menu headers, not just within the same menu header. Visual changes make it easier to understand how the menu is organized.
  • Photos on certain lists (like the vault list) are bigger to make it easier to recognize the content at a glance.
  • Updated look & feel to help guide you to what matters the most and to help organize content on the screen.
  • Ability to send a campaign right from the campaign editor, so you can send it with fewer steps once you're done editing it
  • Resource Sharing is now called Resource Bundles - you can use them for organizing your own resources and don't have to share them unless you want to.
  • Larger fonts in many places make it easier to read and navigate the system.

Check out the attached screenshots for what a few screens looks like now. 🙂

Thank you for all your feedback that lead to these changes. Let us know at support@GetOiling.com if you have any thoughts or comments - we'd love to hear them!
