Each Moon Phase affects your Energy, Mood and Clarity.
We offer intuitive, moon-aligned energy — paired with oils — to help you feel more grounded and emotionally supported throughout the month.

This year we celebrate the Autumn Equinox on Monday 22 September at 7.19pm (in the UK). This is the moment when the Earth's equator is perfectly aligned with the centre of the sun and the day and night are nearly equal in length.
The Autumn Equinox has many meanings.
Astrologically, the Equinox represents the beginning of Autumn and marks which Full Moon is determined as the Harvest Moon (coming on October 6th this year).
Spiritually, the Equinox represents a time where we strive for balance, express gratitude and prepare for the change of energy from Yang to Yin.
At this time we feel the shift from the outward, Yang energy of Summer towards to inward, Yin energy of Winter.
At this time we feel the shift from the outward, Yang energy of Summer towards to inward, Yin energy of Winter.
We can use the energy of the Equinox to reset our purpose by reflecting on what we have cultivated during the year...giving gratitude for what serves us and releasing what does not serve us. Take this opportunity to identify what needs to change. We can then set our intentions for personal growth and action for the rest of the year. We use essential oils to help us with this exercise.
The Equinox gives us space to think about the cycles of nature and prepare for the Yin Seasons to come. We take this time to have gratitude for the year that has just gone and hold on to that for the year ahead.
We will be thinking of you all on the Autumn Equinox and recommend these oils for your diffusers, your bath salts and your perfumes.

6 drops of Clove
4 drops of Frankincense
5 drops of Cedarwood
Let us know which oils you choose. Last year, Jen chose Northern Lights Black Spruce and Clary Sage. Every time she smelled it, her feelings of gratitude came to the front of her thoughts. Very powerful.
Give gratitude for what serves us....
Release what does not serve us....
Take this opportunity to identify what needs to change.

EmbraceSeptember's change in Season with new plant-first habits to Reset your Digestion
Essential oils...simplified. We take the guesswork out — pairing the right oils with your daily habits so they become second nature

As an acupuncturist, I talk to my patients about the benefits of recognising the 5th Season in the Chinese Medicine calendar.
From mid-August to the Autumn Equinox, the prevalent energy is Earth. This energy invites us to think about how and what we eat and getting our digestive system ready for the switch to the Autumn/Winter Seasons.
Harvest time is the Earth Season in Chinese Medicine. This means encompassing transition, shedding stress and striving to become centred…which is the traditional position of the Earth in the Element Structure. We re-evaluate and articulate this on the Autumn Equinox (22nd September).
Think Yellow! The colour of Earth. Squash, pumpkin, corn etc. Start to think soups rather than salads, and reach for warm rather than cold foods (as the stomach works more efficiently when digesting warm foods).
The energy is still warm and light and Yang in nature as we make the most of this gorgeous time of year - Late Summer.
Our favourite Essential Oils to support the Digestive System

Basil: Considered by the ancient Greeks as the 'king of plants', Basil was used to anoint kings. Apply diluted to the abdomen or place in palms, rub hands together and breath in slowly for several breaths.
Ginger: Warm, energising, spicy and invigorating. It eases upset stomachs and stimulates circulation.
Peppermint: Steam distilled from the leaves, strong and invigorating. A drop in the tummy button does a world of good. It’s a strong oil so you only need a little of it and if you feel it’s too much, dilute with any carrier oil (even olive oil will do). You’ll also never taste a better cup of peppermint tea- only one drop in a cup of hot (not boiling) water for the best digestion drink. Or pop a drop on your tongue if you can handle the blast. This is the equivalent of more than 30 cups of store bought peppermint tea!
Fennel: From the crushed seeds of the plant. it has a rich aroma and reminiscent of anise. Relieves digestion and menstrual discomfort. Apply to feet if you're not a fan of the scent.
Laurel: Sweet and refreshing with a little woody touch. Add to carrier oil and massage over the abdomen.
Marjoram: Calming and warming. Combine with Evening Primrose and smooth over the abdomen. Also great for tired, sore leg muscles before sleep.
DiGize: Designed for improving digestive function, this blend helps digest toxic material and help with upset stomach, belching, bloating, and heartburn. Place a little behind the ears to alleviate morning sickness. Also helpful to get rid of parasites when applied to feet. Don’t judge this one just by its smell! I promise it is worth getting used to and will quickly become your best friend for supporting your entire digestive system. It's a blend of Tarragon, Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Fennel, Lemongrass, Anise, and Patchouli essential oils.
Remember to always listen to your body. Enjoy this 5th Season with the confidence that reaching for a plant first can support your lifestyle - simple, sustainable, natural solutions!

Raising the next Generation to Reach for a Plant First

As the Mom of 4 kids, I know what it's like to want your young adults to take care of themselves as well as you would (if you were with them). When my 3 daughters left home for the first time, I felt worried. Here's what I did that turned out to be a big success.
You’ll want to put together their own UNIVERSITY BUNDLE to take care of immune support, sleep, emotions, and more. It’s a good way to show them how much you care. Interesting point – I believe every household needs this basic bundle – not just students. It’s a simple toolkit to take care of yourself and your environment powerfully, naturally and in a low-tox way.
- Thieves Household Cleaner – the only one cleaner you need in a home. 10-15ml mixed with water is all you need to put in a spray bottle. Germ-busting, non-toxic, inexpensive and super powerful. Even kids can use it without any risk! This is a game changer.
- Thieves Essential Oil (made with cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon and clove). This is the blend for your immune system. Diffuse it to keep from getting sick, roll in on to protect yourself. Already sick? Drop it in your tea or get it on your body to feel better faster. (google Thieves blend – it’s fascinating!)
- Lavender Essential Oil - known as the Swiss Army Knife of essential oils because it’s so versatile. It’s the best for relaxing and de-stressing. Use it to calm down and to sleep better. It’s also a wonderful first aid kit item to help heal skin from cuts, burns and scrapes.
- Peppermint Essential Oil – helps wake up the mind, put a pep in your step. Great for focussing the mind for work. Helps relieve pain anywhere and also for head tension. It’s cooling and fresh and smells yummy.
- Lemon Essential Oil– safe to consume so this is how we boost hydration by jazzing up the water we drink. So high in antioxidants that it cleanses each cell of the body (great for hangovers!). Wonderful for diffusing with its clean fresh citrus smell. Powerful cleaner for tough jobs.
- Diffuser – a wonderful way to use your oils and get them in the air for everyone’s benefit. Lots to choose from and I’m happy to recommend my tried and tested favourites
- Multigreens – who gets enough greens consistently? Made with chlorophyll, spirulina, alfalfa sprouts, barley grass, bee pollen, pacific kelp and Melissa oil to make it super bioavailable. Take one every day!
- Inner Defense – This capsule loaded with Thieves essential oil plus oregano, thyme and citronella is what you take when you get sick and want to get better FAST! It boosts the body’s immune system during times of stress.
These top 8 saviours together solve most problems that arise - keeping well, keeping calm and rested, keeping hydrated and detoxed, keeping energised and focused, and keeping clean!
Click HERE for the University Bundle and I'll make sure you (and your student!) know how to get the most from these incredible products.
We don't just teach oils, we teach you how to use them.
Helping families empower teens and young adults to care for their own wellness, emotional awareness, and sustainable habits that last a lifetime.
Plant-First Habits for Teens & Young Adults
Let’s raise the next generation to reach for a plant first. I help families empower teens to care for their own wellness through essential oils, emotional awareness, and sustainable habits that last a lifetime.

This is how we left our first daughter when we delivered her to university. This image still sends a little pang through my heart. The walls looked bare...but her expression looked so hopeful. IT WAS ALL FINE!

The last Testimonial for this Month - it's a big one!
Every person is unique and with over 250 essential oils, we recommend a consultation to discover which plants you may need in your life right now (because that changes over time!)

Just over a year ago I spent an amazing afternoon with Jennifer learning about oils. I have suffered with hayfever for more years than I care to remember, had developed very mild eczema and have numerous scars from circa 30 operations. I had reached the point where conventional medicine was not working for me.
Since that initial meeting, my life has changed. My go-to mixture is Lemon, Lavender & Peppermint which I use throughout the year to prevent me getting hayfever and all I can say is that it is wonderful. Last weekend I was at a Barbecue - a year or two ago that would have meant eyes streaming, nose running etc...not this year with my LLP on I was able to spend time helping without any reaction. This is just one example of how great my LLP is.
Then there is the amazing Eczema Blend that cured my problem very quickly, I am still using it on occasion. (email oiltribeuk@gmail.com for the recipe if you need it).
For my scars, when the weather changes (either going to get hot or cold) they start playing up. Simple solution is Juniper, which not only smells wonderful, it works on the scars and relieves the irritation almost immediately.
The other wonderful oils I have used are the Blue Relief Blend with epsom salts for sore feet and the Stress Away - which both mum & I use at times of the year when we have visitors!!!!!!!!!! (read between the lines).
All I can say is thank you Jennifer for changing my life so much for the better.
- Adam, London
Thank you Adam! We're so happy you took a leap of faith and tried what we're suggesting with such positive results. You are amazing. It's our pleasure to help one person at a time.

This Month we're talking Testimonials - let's hear what's working for YOU!
August seems the perfect time to pause, take stock and hear what plant-first habits have taken hold for some of you during the first half of 2025.

For as long as I can remember, I have had Lavender in my life. My mum has always said that Lavender is the remedy for everything. I love the little 5ml bottles and always have one with me,
My Uni friends didn't really understand .... until they tried it! Now, everyone knows that wherever we go I will always have my Lavender with me.
Festival Fatigue...Lavender.
Event anxiety...Lavender
Clubbing exhaustion... 'Sophie, please can I have some of your Lavender?!'
Who would have thought that a tiny bottle could be so helpful to so many...in the most unusual ways!
- Sophie, 21, University Student, UK
Thank you! It's our pleasure to help raise the next generation to reach for a plant first. We love that you have shared your oils with your university friends and have seen them work!
