Change is a journey...
In 2011, I had two miscarriages - one at 11 weeks and another at 13 weeks. I already had two healthy boys, and at that time they were eight and four. Those pregnancies were easy so, what was going on? We did genetic testing on the second miscarriage, and the baby was fine. This meant something was going on with me.
My doctor had her theory but it just didn’t make sense to me so, I kept researching and calling doctors. I figured out what made sense, but I couldn’t decide if I wanted to try again. I was still struggling with the pain of the losses. I went on a Mind, Body, Spirit Retreat in early 2012 and came home at peace, but I still didn’t have a clear answer and gave myself until the end of May to decide. Now the boys were nine and five.
I am sure this is too much information but a condom broke at the end of April, and on Mother’s Day I found out I was pregnant! I was terrified. The nine months of waiting were very long but all worth it when I had a healthy baby girl in January 2013!
I realize now how much I have changed, and it started with my losses. During that time, I really started researching the ingredients in foods, over the counter products, household and personal care products. I found alternative ways to take care of myself and my family, and I continued to make changes and look for other ways. In fact, I delivered my boys at a hospital and my daughter was born at a birthing center. Big change. Change is a journey. It takes time to change what we have done our whole lives, but it is worth it!
As I continued on my journey of change, my neighbor told me about Young Living and their essential oils. I got my starter kit, and I knew immediately these precious oils were a missing piece of my journey and I had to share these amazing gifts from nature with others.
Teaching people about Young Living’s essential oils has become my passion. Essential oils are about more than pleasant smells. They can do so much for you.
I encourage you to be proactive in your health and wellness. There are other ways.
