Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Peppermint Hot Cocoa
I used to think that nothing was better than hot chocolate as a kid. The box kind with all the little cute marshmallows.

But nothing is better than hot cocoa from scratch. NOTHING.

Hot Cocoa Recipe

2 cups of Almond Milk or Heavy Cream.
2 Tablespoons of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
2 Cups water less if you like yours really creamy
Sweetener of choice. I did a few Truvia packets until I felt it was sweet enough
Top with homemade whip cream and some cinnamon

Enjoy.

Keto Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Keto Chocolate Chip Pancakes
I love a good pancake, the fluffier the better. I've been through so many recipes and I have finally come up with a really good one. It's fluffy but still delicious enough to not dry out your mouth.

Keto approved!

Recipe

3 Tbsp. coconut flower
1-2 Tbsp. granulated sweetener
Pinch of baking soda
3 large egg whites
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1-2 Tbsp. sugar free chocolate chips
3 Tbsp. Heavy cream
Water

Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips, heavy cream and water.
Mix throughly.
Add in heavy cream, and water until the batter is at your desired thickness. I prefer mine thicker and fluffier.
Add more water to make them thinner.
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Fry on pan with your favorite toppings.
I add blueberries, raspberries, sugar free maple syrup, and some extra chocolate chips.

Enjoy!

Dill Salad

Dill Salad
Dill Vitality is one of my favorite essential oils to cook with! I mean who doesn't love a delicious dill salad, with fresh cucumber, broccoli, and avocado?

I use this mostly in the summer time during my canning. Do you love dill pickles? I know I sure do!

1/4 Cucumber
1/4 Broccoli
1/4 Avacado
Tbsp. Avocado Mayo
Fresh Dill Weed
Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:

Cut up cucumber, broccoli, and avocado into bite size chunks.
Add in avocado mayo and mix together. Put in 1 drop of Dill Vitality.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and dill weed.

Dryer ball recipes

Dryer ball recipes

I ditched my dryer sheets a long time ago, because of all the harmful ingredients in them. I replaced them with 100% wool dryer balls. Which are non-toxic so every time you use them you're minimizing your exposure to toxic-ingredients that you would have  been exposed to from dryer sheets, or fabric softener.

They're also reusable which helps you save money, I don't know about you but I'm a frugal mama and I love saving money! The average cost of dryer sheets is about $10.00 for 250 sheets which costs about .041 for each load. You can get a pack of 6 dryer balls on amazon for about $10.00 which averages out to be the same cost!  Dryer balls also you save energy due to the fact that the drying time is less! WIN WIN!

One thing I love about these is that you can change the aroma that you want on your clothes. If you're not feeling Citrus Fresh this week you can switch it up to Lavender and there are so many different aromas to choose from, and combinations you can create!

Here are a few of the ingredients in dryer sheets, and fabric softeners that you want to avoid.

Fragrance:  Causes developmental and reproductive toxicity, disrupts hormones, and is an allergen. There is no standard on the ingredients in fragrances, manufactures can add in over 3, 000 different ingredients and they don't have to be listed on the label due to "trade secret laws."

Fragrances are also a irritant to the skin, lungs and eyes. Ingredients in fragrances can include toxic ingredients that are a carcinogen such as p-dichlorobenzene,  and styrene oxide. Other ingredients include trade names like galaxolide (synthetic musk) that disrupts the endocrine system and act as a allergen.

Phthalates like diethyl phthalate (DET) and  di-isononyl phthalate (DINP) which can negatively impact the reproductive system.  Fragrances can also include many other toxic ingredients that can be linked to cancer, birth defects, and disrupting the central nervous system.

Benzisothiazolinone: Used as a preservative, it is toxic to the immune system, is considered an irritant for the  lungs, skin, and eyes.

Okay moving on! So now onto the good stuff!!! Here are some of my favorite recipes I like to add to my dryer balls. I use 4 dryer balls in each load of laundry, and I add my oils every 3 loads! Adjust this to your specific liking. Have fun and enjoy playing around with some different aromas, and adding them to freshen up your laundry.

Guilt Free Breakfast

Guilt Free Breakfast

With the New Year ringing in I'm looking for some serious ways to cut some calories. I've put on like oh.... I don't know thirty extra pounds or so.

So I have been really trying to make eating healthy a priority, but I'm not one for eating food that doesn't taste good. You all know what I'm talking about. The kind you have to choke down, because you're trying to cut a serious amount of calories.

I don't want any part of that!

So I'm eating some perfectly portioned out steel cut oats and adding 1-2 drops of Cinnamon Bark Vitality to it!

Holy yumness. 0 calories for flavor, and it tastes delicious.
