A healthy lifestyle helps us be more PRODUCTIVE

Regardless of what we do in life, a healthy lifestyle will help us accomplish more, and therefore be more productive. Adopting and consistently following healthy habits will help each of us be more energetic throughout the day, and will also help us recuperate quicker from an illness. 

 

Whether you have a degree from a prestigious university or one from a state-funded one, or if you don't have a degree but are talented in some trade, living a healthy lifestyle will help you be more productive in your area of expertise. When we live healthy lives, we have less sick days also! We can't accomplish much anyway if we are feeling worn down and under the weather. When we stop resourcing to drugs to get us back on our feet when we get sick, and instead rest more, consume healthy foods and beverages, and exercise on a daily basis (if we don't have an injury that prevents us from doing this), our body will respond by performing at its best. 

 

Speaking as a mom, it's important for us to be healthy in order to take care of our kids and our husband (if he's with us), as well as perforrm our household chores. It's hard to do these things if we are not energetic; it's hard to be productive each day if we are unhealthy. It's important to take care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. 

 

Some mothers prefer to work outside their homes, and that is not a wrong choice if that is legitimatally the desire of their hearts. Others prefer to be home to raise their kids knowing that they grow up really fast; they desire to spend as much time with them as possible. However, very few parents think that it's affordable for the mom to stay home with their kids, even if that is her deepest desire, and her heart aches terribly each time she leaves her little one. Let's face it, living in this world is everyday more expensive! It's legit a privilege very few of us have to be able to be home with our children every day. 

 

If you are from the second category - the mom that has a desire to stay home but believes it's not something legitimatally possible - I want to speak a message of hope directly to you through the rest of the words in this blog post. Read on.

Thanksgiving has passed and many of us look forward to celebrating Christmas. Whether or not you celebrate, this is a season that causes many a lot of stress, instead of joy and peace. Therefore, here are some quick Young Living tips that could help you enjoy this season more:

-  Don't allow yourself to get overwhelmed with the amount of people in shopping malls and stores, nor with anything else going around in the world around you. Take an essential oil like Peace and Calming, Joy, or Stress Away with you everywhere you go. Apply a drop or roll it on your neck anytime you start to feel overwhelmed. Breathe in deeply and just let it go. It's not worth it to stress over anything.

- Make sure you take care of yourself. Be mindful of what you eat or drink. Don't overindulge in all the "goodies" that will be offered to you or at parties you may be attending. Make sure you get enough rest every night. Enjoy some yoga or a nice walk at the end of the day or early in the morning. Perhaps breathe in some Aroma Siez essential oil blend as you do so, which "combines the soothing and relaxing properties of Lavender and Peppermint" along with Basil, Marjoram and Cypress. 

Diffuse some Christmas Spirit, whether or not you have a Christmas tree up in your house or not. Your house will smell festive and will help you feel relaxed and joyful.

And just like that, summer is over and we start heading into fall. I hope you had a wonderful summer! One thing I love about summers is that I get to go on our yearly family vacation. This year we took a cruise down the Mexican Riviera, stopping at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, doing excursions in each of the ports. But enough about us! This newsletter is all about ways YOU and your family can stay healthy throughout the seasons. Here are your Young Living fall tips:

1. Make it a habit to drink 1-2 ounces of NingXia Red every single day. This supplement is filled with nutrients and has absolutely no junk ingredients in it. It is the supplement that got be "hooked" on Young Living, and at the time I had no desire to share about this drink or about the company with anyone else.  But God had others plans for me, and so I started my journey as a leader to share Young Living with others, via social media. 

2. If you currently tend to get sick on a regular basis, I recommend you have on hand a supplement they offer called "Inner Defense". This supplement was very helpful for my husband who used to get horribly sick before our journey with Young Living. Now we rarely have to use this supplement, but either my husband or my daughter will take it once in a while still, so I do keep a bottle of it around for such occasions. It's nice to know that you won't have to take it "for life", though! As long as you create and maintain healthy habits, of course. 

3. If you prefer not to take pills or capsules, or your body won't allow you to do so, I recommend you apply or diffuse any of the following oils during the fall season: Lemon, Thieves, Raven, or Eucalyptus. Applying a drop or two of either Lemon or Thieves on your feet every day is a wonderful habit to form. Raven or Eucalyptus are wonderful to diffuse in the air for a soothing aroma, or you can apply a drop on your chest and back; if applying on children or someone that is very sensitive to smells, please dilute with a bit of carrier oil like Young Living's V6 oil or coconut oil. 

Other healthy habits to keep you above the wellness line in the fall season: 

- Go on a 30 minute walk daily or engage in another activity that gets your body moving.
- Drink half your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of filtered water. So, for example, if you weight 200 pounds, you would need to drink 100 ounces of water each day. It sounds like a lot, but after a couple of days your body will get used to it and balance out so you won't have to be running to the bathroom every half hour. LOL.
- Keep a bottle of Thieves hand sanitizer with you so you can cleanse your hands anytime you are in public restrooms, movie theatres, amusement parks, doctor offices, etc. 

May you stay healthy physically, mentally and emotionally throughout this fall season. **Always remember that the oils and supplements must never be used as magical potions! Use them along with other healthy habits.
