You may not able to avoid all the stress, but there are ways that you can deal with the day-to-day struggles that we all face. Read on to receive a free tip for lowering the stress in your life. Keep your life focused and learn more about how my life has been impacted on this journey.

Incorporate Essential Oils into your Routine
Supporting stressed out moms in finding moments of calm and rejuvenation is so important. Here are three strategies that can help, incorporating the natural support of essential oils:

1. Create a Morning Ritual
Starting the day on a positive note can significantly impact your entire day. Incorporate a few minutes of quiet time with your favorite calming essential oil diffused around you. Frankincense and Lavender are excellent choices for promoting a sense of peace and relaxation. While you're enjoying the aromatic benefits, take this time to meditate, journal, or practice gratitude to set a positive tone for the day.

 2. Introduce Aromatherapy into Your Day
Aromatherapy can be incredibly beneficial for managing stress. Keep a roll-on blend in your purse or at your desk that you can apply to your wrists or neck during high-stress moments. A blend of Stress Away and Peppermint can be invigorating and soothing at the same time, helping to melt away tension and refresh your senses. Also, having a diffuser with a calming blend in your living space or workplace can help to create a tranquil environment.

 3. Evening Wind-Down Routine
Creating a calming evening routine can help signal to your body that it's time to rest, which is crucial for stressed-out moms who find it hard to switch off. Add a couple of drops of Lavender or a calming blend to your bath or apply it topically as part of your skincare routine. This not only helps your skin but also aids in relaxing your mind. Following your bath, spend some time winding down with a book or gentle yoga stretches instead of screen time to promote better sleep.

 Bonus Tips:
Ensure you're drinking plenty of water throughout the day to support your body's natural stress response. Adding a drop of Lemon or Peppermint essential oil not only flavors your water but can also provide additional benefits such as digestive support and increased energy.- Grab moments of 'me time' throughout the day. Even three deep breaths with your eyes closed, focusing on the scent of your favorite essential oil, can be incredibly rejuvenating.

Remember, incorporating these strategies into your daily life doesn't have to be overwhelming. Start small, and as you begin to feel the benefits, you'll find it easier to weave these practices into the fabric of your day. Parents, especially moms, give so much of themselves every day. It's essential to find and take those moments for self-care to restore and rejuvenate your own spirit.

Take a Stress Break

Giving yourself permission to take a brief "stress break" is often enough to decompress or just get a new perspective. Make it a point to get away for a few minutes when you are feeling overwhelmed. This can include taking a mommy time-out. Put up a "do not disturb" sign on your bedroom door. Listen to relaxing music or paint a pleasing picture in your mind and take a soothing five minutes to decompress. Let everyone in your family know that you intend to “walk away” from stressful situations until your emotions are back under control. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking that time and removing yourself from the situation.

Schedule Date Nights

Dates don’t have to be expensive outings - in fact, they don't even need to cost anything. Take a walk, go to the park, watch a movie, sit by the fire, or sit on your patio with a little wine and cheese. It’s just about having time alone with your significant other. We can’t take care of our families unless we take time for ourselves, and moms are notorious for putting ourselves on the back burner. Make sure that you are taking the time to calmly interact with those closest to you. After all, a less stressed mom makes a happier, less stressed kids. Always has, always will.

Find a Support Group

The truth is we devote so much time to our families, we forget to take time for our own social needs. Whether you involve your significant other or just hang out with your girlfriends, relationships help reduce stress and restore balance. Don’t stress alone about your kids or your life.  Share your concerns with another mom and commit to being a cheerleader for each other. Talking about your stress with someone that cares will reduce anxieties, increase calmness, and help to reorient your focus. You can also join a social network with a mom chat room. Even online there can be valuable connections.

Take Time to Laugh

You've heard it before but it is so true - laughter is the best medicine. Laughs, smiles, and giggles can help relieve some of that tension. Our bodies are amazing and the very act of laughing releases endorphins in the brain, causing a feeling of happiness. It's a natural stress-reliever! When is the last time you enjoyed a good, long belly laugh with your significant other or your kids? Lighten up a bit and find ways to bring a little more fun into your life. You'll curb stress and create fun family memories.

Exercise Together

Exercise keeps stress ay bay. Whether it’s walking, bike riding, swimming, playing basketball, or something else to get active. The key is finding the type you enjoy and committing yourself to it. Better yet, find a strategy to do with your kids so that everyone benefits. Just take a simple walk alone with your kids or find some other mom to join for a short walk each day. Ride off the tension - there is nothing like riding bikes with your kids. Dancing with your kids a great tension reliever, whether it’s dancing along to a nursery rhyme or adult music.
