F.a.q.
Is it permanent? For some clients, one session is all they need to clear the memory or negative thoughts and habits. For others, it takes several sessions because everyone is different. Some memories and emotions can be very layered, and we want to address each of those layers. However, once the emotional charge associated with the thought/memory is cleared, it is very unlikely to return.
Who is AFT for? Anyone. If you cannot shake limiting beliefs, a bad habit, traumatic memories, negative patterns, or just general ‘stuckness’, you are a candidate. Children as young as five are totally eligible for AFT because it is so gentle and effective. For clients who have survived trauma or are returning from combat, please consider the TMRT option.
Does insurance cover it? I wish, but in the same way other therapeutic and natural remedies are not covered by most insurance carriers, AFT is considered alternative so it will not be covered.
What does a session look like? I begin with prayer every time. Jesus is the ultimate healer and I won’t do this without His guidance. We then establish what you are hoping to achieve during the session. After that, we identity some of the negative thoughts and emotions you have around your goal, and begin to identify memories connected with those feelings or thoughts. Throughout the 60-minute session, we will go back and forth with the oils, clearing memories, praying, and identifying what the limitations are. I am not shy about bringing the Holy Spirit into these sessions and will pray throughout. I close with some homework for you and check in with you following the session to see how you are progressing.
