I once was a mom who lost herself.
Like many moms, I was living like a robot, mindlessly going through the motions of life.
I was taking care of everyone around me -- my two young children, my husband, my parents and more… but I wasn't taking care of myself. I never found the time or the energy to focus on what my needs were. My needs always came last, and usually not at all.
During these hard years, I developed hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease. I was moody, unhappy and battled headaches daily. I had no patience for anything or anyone and would lash out at those I loved most.
My reactions to everything were the opposite of the loving, fulfilled and happy feelings I envisioned having as a mom. I was tense, upset and angry all the time, and I hated myself for being that person. I didn’t know how to stop it, and it sent me into a depression.
At the time, I didn’t realize how years of dismissing my own needs and desires was affecting my ability to be my true self. I didn’t feel happy and I didn’t know who I was anymore. I just kept moving forward because that was what I was taught to do. You don’t give up, especially on yourself.
While desperately searching for a solution for someone in my family, I stumbled upon the opportunity to learn about harmful chemicals, mindset, wellness, how to dream big, how to save money and so much more!
Through this amazing experience of trying to help someone else, I found what I needed to help myself!
Now, I love sharing my experience to teach other parents how to find what they are missing. I show parents how to live with purpose and abundance. I help them practice how to dream, set goals and learn how to take control over their life.
No one needs to settle on a life of going through the motions, facing an endless series of events and tasks that you have to “get through” each day. Your life can change by focusing on dreams, goals and accomplishments that bring you and your family toward the lifestyle you envision. You can have dreams for yourself and for your family, and working toward them together is so satisfying and rewarding.
