Empaths, Intuitives & All The Magickal Things

Empaths, Intuitives & All The Magickal Things
I started a new Facebook group a couple of weeks ago with a sweet friend of mine and Reiki Master, Katie White. We love all things spiritual, are both coaches and our favorite thing is helping people see their value, their worth and empowering them to find their personal power to affect real change in their lives. It's early,  but so far it feels like a huge success.

Instead of mainstream things like DIY recipes and reasons for going toxin free (because I feel like those are so abundantly found now vs. when I started oiling 6 years ago), we've chosen to dive into the magickal properties of oils, crystals, talk about Law of Attraction, manifestation and getting into alignment with the Divinity that lives inside each one of us. We already have content planned for months to come, and I'm in awe of how well people are responding and joining the group to be part of the journey! If you'd like to join us there, the group is simply called Empaths, Intuitives & All the Magickal Things.

It turns out that there's a lot of people that identify with being an Empath- someone who is super sensitive to other's moods and energy. And it also turns out, there's not a lot of places for people who do recognize that to turn for guidance and tutelage on how to protect yourself, how to cope with all that energy coming at you, and how to feel brave enough to say when enough is enough. Being bombarded with others energies when you are unware that it is happening can lead to feeling blue, exhaustion and create unwanted trouble in our own lives.

I remember being somewhere in my teens when I realized that my ability to assess emotional setpoints in people was not something everyone can do. I couldn't understand how someone could steamroll into a room and start barking things at others, seemingly unaware that the people in the room were upset. Because I spent my childhood so sensitive to energy, I didn't know it wasn't something everyone was open to being able to do. You may have never been told you're an Empath, but if you cry instantly when you see someone else crying, if you've got an inner voice that tells you to tread lightly, or a gut instinct that you don't like someone, you're probably more aware than you realize.

I love using crystals, practices and oils to ground and shield myself. I've been a lifetime researching and learning about energy, energy healing, metaphysical sciences and the like. In this way, we can offer yet another amazing round of uses for the gift the Earth has given us in essential oils. It's exciting to watch it take root!

I'm always happy to answer any and all question you may have about any of these subjects and like I said- If you're o Facebook come check the group out. You just might be surprised to find how gifted you truly are!

Abundant Blessings~

Even Little Changes Make Big Differences

Even Little Changes Make Big Differences
I had a wonderful conversation the other day with a new mom who was referred to me to help her. Overtired from sleep deprivation and a fussy baby had left her needing a little guidance of what could help her baby in a natural way. I explained the basics of what essential oils could and could not do to support her situation, cautions to consider, made some suggestions for what was going on and also made some suggestions to help her to support getting more rest, self care and some general wellness advice. I also asked her to consider what she was washing her baby in, and why she might want to consider going organic and natural in her home, cutting out chemicals and being more aware of what was in their food and personal care products. The entire conversation was about 25 minutes long.

When she messaged me a short while later not only appalled by what she had learned about the products she was using on her baby, but also to thank me for setting her on a new course that was right for her and better overall for her family, I sighed a huge contented sigh. THIS. This is what we do in Young Living. This is what drives me and inspires me daily to keep teaching classes, to keep talking to people, to make people more aware. What they choose to do with that once they have learned is entirely up to them.

But, what I want everyone to understand is that even little changes can make a huge difference in your overall health and wellness. I teach everyone that for every grade A, therapeutic, pure essential oil you use ( I only trust Young Living Essential Oils after lengthy research and education), it is one less set of chemicals from some processed or pre-packaged chemical or synthetic filled personal care item or cleaner that you are exposing your body to. Just that one substitution is so wonderfully freeing at a cellular level for your body, you just can't even imagine.

Yes, when we teach our classes we teach you the whole picture, because your emotional and physical health is contingent on the whole picture. We encourage you through educating you to consider going organic in your food choices, to cut out sugar and processed foods, to eat right, to exercise, to be mindful of your stress level and to go chemical free. And we take you through each part, step by step, so that it is not overwhelming. But, what I want everyone to understand is everyone has different levels of change they can handle or they are ready for. Heck, if I can get you to just throw away and never buy again aerosolized room sprays and artificial fragrances after a Basics 101 class, then I am a happy camper who knows I already made a huge difference in your health. It might be months before you take another step, and that's perfectly okay.

Some people are ready for "big" change, and some need a little time and a slower pace. The cool thing about all the things we teach you is that YOU get to decide your pace, what changes are right for your family and how much time to invest in living a healthier lifestyle. And it is not as a difficult or time consuming as one might think. In fact, most of the things I do now in our home take way less time than my old lifestyle and choices allowed me.  And I know from being a life coach all these years that all changes are challenging. We are so "used to" doing things a certain way that it is easy to fall back into old habits. This is where our Young Living community excels! Being around other like minded people who are also striving to make those changes is hugely supporting, and we have all been in that beginner phase where we needed the guidance we are offering.

If you've been teetering on the edge of wondering if becoming a Young Living member is the right choice for you, let me guide you through the first part- the answer is YES. That starter set of 12 oils and a diffuser rocked my world and started the cascade of changes I have made for my family in the 3 years since I first opened that box. We are healthier, we are toxin-free and we are all reaping the rewards and benefits that this lifestyle has allowed us. The monthly classes I teach here in my home for free and others I teach our in our community every month, along with our member group on Facebook are incredible support for you as you have questions and want to learn even more. Baby steps are okay, big steps are okay, you get to call the shots. We're ready to help you learn, so what do you say?

How Young Living Helped Me Find My Fearless Face

How Young Living Helped Me Find My Fearless Face

Five months. It has taken all of five months to fix something that has been an issue for me my whole life.

From the time I was a teen I have struggled with acne. Some periods in my life it got better, others it got much worse. I have been on every medication from the birth control pill, to oral antibiotics daily, to any topical prescription cream you can name.

When my liver issues arose more than six years ago(please see my previous blog post on that if you are curious), the oral antibiotics were one of the first things to go. Cleared through the liver, over time these medications can wreak havoc on this precious organ. Ever since then I have struggled with the embarrassment, the pain and the annoyance of it. I had a drawer full of concealers in various tones and shades for the time of the year, an arsenal of face washes, and when I switched to eating organics and a more healthy lifestyle free of chemicals almost two years ago, I traded out the poison filled arsenal with more natural variations of the same. I also have an amazing dermatologist on speed dial.  Nothing worked.

Then about five months ago I invested in going to Young Living Beauty School out in Utah near our home office. I had had so much success in supporting my body emotionally and physically using Young Living Essential Oils, and I knew that certain oils were very beneficial to skin health, but I wanted to really learn how to care for my skin once and for all and see if it made a difference.

Needless to say what I learned in those few short days has changed my life in ways that some may deem unimportant, but I will tell you this-as a woman, how we FEEL when we step into the light has so much to do with our confidence, with our capabilities and how we taken on the world. While I knew I was successful in various sectors of my life, I didn't FEEL pretty with my skin the way it was and I was aware it was having a subconscious effect on me.

Young Living Taught Me How to Properly Care For My Skin & Gave Me The Products To Do It

Over the hours I spent at Beauty School I learned how skin cells actually function, I learned what they needed for optimal health and I learned the catastrophic effect of sugar on your skin, as well as how digestive health related to skin health. I was taught how to properly wash, cleanse, tone and moisturize, all with products that instantly within about two hours took down the level of redness and swelling I had when I arrived. Most importantly, I learned about how good and chocked full of essential oils the products I was using at school actually were, absent of horrible synthetics and toxic materials that had invaded my personal arsenal for too long.

I was also told that it just might get a little worse BEFORE it got better and to stick with it. You see, when you start a detoxifying process your skin does just that. It takes time to pull from down below everything bad and get it out, so you need to be patient and allow your body to do that now that you have given it the right environment. Within two months I was no longer wearing my face concealer/powder. And this morning, roughly five months after changing my beauty routine I went to my monthly massage appointment completely make up free and did not shrink back in horror when my therapist went to touch my face as the final relaxation technique at the end.

I have been told countless times over the past few months that my skin glows and been asked what I have been doing to make it look that way . A more persuasive endorsement I do not think you could find! I have now offered two smaller versions of Beauty School here in my home for my oily team and will be doing another this fall. I smile at myself in the mirror every morning and am in awe of what already is an amazing difference, although my understanding is the pinnacles of change come at the six month and one year mark. I literally can't wait to see how much better it gets because I already love it!

I wanted to share my story because I know there are more of you out there.

I understand all too well the endless search for what will clear your skin or make you feel pretty. The answer was in nature's medicine chest all along and I couldn't be happier that I opened that door.

Life Is Hard...And So I Oil

Life Is Hard...And So I Oil

The Universe/God/The Divine has been toying with me lately. Often, of late,  I question if there is a giant game board on which I a merely a pawn. Then I remember that God/The Divine/Gaia/Whatever you wish to call It/Him/They/Her  loves me and I reorient myself in my faith and move on. That is the power of faith. It swoops in and comforts you when everything around you seems to be going awry.

The thing is, life is hard sometimes. For everyone. We all have our up moments, our down times and those times when we feel like we just can't catch a break. Sometimes we handle those times better than others. Sometimes... we don't.  Needless to say, as a personal and spiritual coach I spend my time encouraging and supporting others on how to get through the rough spots. Coaching myself, however...well that doesn't always work as flawlessly as I'd like.

It is in these moments, the lowest of lows, that I force myself to remember what I teach. When all seems lost there is still always something to be grateful for. If you are experiencing a loss, focus on what remains. If you are feeling sad, refresh your memory on what can make you smile. If you feel you can't go on, have gratitude for the air you breathe. It's not always easy, but it is definitely better than succumbing to the abyss of despair.

Most people have something they reach for during these times. For me it has always been my faith, the outdoors and spiritual connection/meditation. I am truly blessed that each one of my "saving practices" has been enhanced and made richer with the use of essential oils. When I started with them about 19 months ago I was looking to support my body physically and was hoping to find something to help me relax. Their properties have exceeded any expectations I may have imagined and as a bonus, I found that their scent, combined with my "saving practices" have given me yet another thing to be grateful for.

I feel a stronger connection to my faith and the outdoors with the herbaceous, woodsy aromas of Cedarwood and Spruce. Spiritually, Frankincense, Sacred Frankincense and Sandalwood all help me feel the love of the Light Above. When I am weary the scent of Lavender facilitates easing me into slumber. When my mind is troubled the soothing sounds from Aria Diffuser combined with my favorite blends help calm and focus me to give me the resolve to go on.  And think therein lies the key. When life becomes too jumbled, when it all seems overpowering, we need to remember to breathe, to reconnect, to feel the essence of ourselves. If I had to describe the most frustrating thing in all of the melee of our life lately, it is that and that alone-I feel like in the process of caring for everyone else, all the responsibilities, all the tasks that I have lost some of the essence of my own soul.

Thankfully my faith is strong, my future bright and my oil shelf fully stocked. This phase, too, shall pass and will work itself out. I know all too well the toll that can be taken on the body when it endures stress for too long a period of time. I am grateful for all that I have learned living this healthier lifestyle, this more educated existence so I can make good choices and be surrounded by amazing, supportive people that live and believe and think like I do and help feed me healthy foods, make sure I get out for a walk and share their favorite oils for me to try.  I have been given the greatest gifts to help me make it through... and for that I can always find gratitude....

Using Essential Oils for Emotional Healing

Using Essential Oils for Emotional Healing

It never ceases to amaze me all of the things that exposure to essential oils can do for you. I spend countless hours on Google, in essential oil chat groups and sharing within our own oil organization all of the things we have discovered.

Most people are drawn to essential oils because they are looking for a more "natural" solution to issues they are having. Perhaps they are searching for something to support sleep, to support their digestive tract or to help lessen stress they have been feeling. But as a life coach, one of the things that I love learning about is how essential oils and aromas can affect our emotional well being.

I taught a class last night on this subject alone and it was so powerful that many in the audience were moved to tears. When it comes to past traumas, the inability to forgive or just the scar tissue that can proverbially build up around our heart as we move through some of life disappointments, most people are hungry to find a way to help release that burden. Essential oils can play a role in that process.

Here's some of the things we went over to help you understand:

  • Emotional experiences happen at the same time as an aroma experience, thereby linking the two in the brain. A memory is then created in your brain.
  • Future detection of that same aroma evokes a 5 second recall of that memory link, in other words, almost in the blink of an eye, you can be transported back to that memory from smelling the same aroma, albeit a pleasant or unpleasant memory.
  • Essential oil molecules are uniquely designed by nature to fit perfectly in our olfactory receptor sites.
  • There is an oil for every emotion.

Vibrational Frequency Matters In Our Overall Health

Everything vibrates and has a frequency. Every element in the Periodic Table has a frequency. The vibrational frequency of an essential oil  is contingent on those elements and enzymes embodied within it.  These frequencies can be measured in Hertz. What we expose ourselves to on an "energetic level" matters very much and because the vibrational frequency of essential oils can be quite high, we can effectively "raise" our frequency with regular exposure to them.

Here are some examples of MHz of a few essential oils:

Peppermint-78MHz

Juniper 98MHz

Myrrh-105MHz

Rose-320MHz

Here are some examples of what happens in your own body when the vibrational frequency gets too low:

  • Human cells start to mutate when the frequency drops below 62MHz
  • When you have a cold or flu your body's frequency is around 58MHz
  • 42MHz is where cancer can thrive.

When it comes to emotional healing there are various stages that one must do the work to go through. Remember, the oils themselves cannot completely free you. You must be ready and willing to work on releasing your negative or lower vibrational emotions and set them free. But here's the thing I found most interesting in my research: "As the body lives in higher vibrations, the lower energies (such as suppressed emotions) become unbearable. These feelings want to release. Stagnant anger, sadness, grief, judgement and low self worth cannot exist in the environment of balance and peace with essential oils help to create". (Emotional Healing With Essential Oils-Daniel MacDonald)

There is so much more to learn and I know I have only brushed the surface of the information that is available out there. Of course, I also recommend working with a life coach or therapist to help you work through some of the more stubborn feelings that have been hanging around or taken root. I 100% believe that a joyful life is our birthright. Sometimes we just need some help in order to remember that we are worthy of love and happiness. I am excited to continue to my learning into how essential oils can play a role in helping to faciliate that. More classes will be coming and I hope you are ready to take your oily journey with us soon!

Clinical research shows that essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man, creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus, etc., cannot live. I believe that the chemistry and frequencies of essential oils have the ability to help man maintain the optimal frequency to the extent that disease cannot exist.
