All About Thieves

The Natural Power House

History

Essential oils have enriched lives for thousands of years, offering a variety of benefits from cosmetic and dietary purposes to spiritual and religious use.

Why would an oil that we trust and love be called Thieves? Well, in the 1400's during the Plague, there was a group of actual thieves stealing from the sick and dying.  How on earth were these thieves staying alive when they were willingly going in these homes? Well, come to find out the thieves were perfumers and spice traders who knew exactly what would protect them from illness.

Present day, we use Thieves essential oil to support our immune system and keep us above the wellness line.

The oil blend is so powerful the Young Living has an entire Thieves line of products including Household Cleaner, Thieves Toothpaste, Thieves Laundry Soap, Thieves Dish Soap, even Thieves Dental Floss.  And all of these products are made of 100% natural, plant-based products.

How to Use Thieves

Thieves can be used topically, aromatically (in a diffuser), or internally (vitality Thieves).

A great place to use thieves topically is on the bottom of your feet. One drop and rub it in (or rub your feet together if you're flexible enough!).

I'll also add thieves in a roller and dilute with a carrier oil, and then I roll it up my kids spine before school or in times of need.

When we aren't wearing thieves, I add 2-4 drops in a cold water diffuser so we can breathe in the benefits.

The blend of essential oils in Thieves is:
  • Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus radiata, Rosemary cineol

Recipes Including Thieves

Get the Most From Your Oils
Thieves is such a natural Power House with the combination of Cinnamon Bark, Rosemary cineol, Eucalyptus radiata, Lemon, and Clove.

One of our most used uses is simply in a diffuser all by itself.  When in need, you can amplify it with a couple extra drops of Eucalyptus radiata or Lemon.

When you're on the go, opt for a roller that you can carry with you! Our recipe for a 10ml roller is 15d Thieves, 8d Lemon, and 8d Oregano, then fill with a carrier oil (for young children, I would use HALF this amount of essential oils!).

For a warm, spicy, and soothing drink pour warm water in your favorite mug, add a bit of honey and one drop of thieves vitality (and lemon vitality if you choose)!.  Stir and sip. This is wonderful through those cold winter months!
