After facing many life-threatening illnesses because of toxins, I have dedicated my life to helping others achieve wellness and abundance and I would love to help you too.
Many people know that I am a cancer survivor. But few know that I also have a life-long battle with asthma because of a toxic-chemical I inhaled as a toddler.
The chemical I inhaled was in a very common lawn fertilizer sold in many stores. Because of those toxins, I had countless pneumonias, collapsed lungs, an open lung biopsy at 4 years old, and I had to live for a full year in a hospital. My parents were told that I wasn’t expected to live past 13 years old.
What that taught all me is that we cannot always rely on labels or advertisements to tell us what is safe for our own health.
So through my life, I have tried to use as many “natural” products as possible for my home cleaning, personal care, or in any other area that touches my or my family’s life. But a little while ago, a friend urged me to look a little closer because there are also things in these so-called natural products that are known toxins. I began by pulling products out of my cabinets and doing Google searches on the ingredients. (There is also a great FREE mobile app called Think Dirty where you can scan barcodes directly - it is a great start but a Google search can give even more detailed information).
What I discovered is shocking and horrifying. Many of my every day products had well-known cancer causing and endocrine disrupting chemicals even though their labels indicated they were natural or healthy. I knew that my asthma was directly caused by toxic chemicals but could my cancer have been too? My genetic tests showed that I wasn’t genetically predisposed which means it was most likely from my environment.
Once I realized the harmful ingredients in these products, I literally threw them all into the garbage - makeups, floor cleaners, kitchen cleaners, moisturizers, dryer sheets, detergents, shampoos and so many products I had trusted for years.
Next, I had to replace them with truly natural products that I could actually trust. Thankfully, my friend was using products that she loved so I began sampling and researching those as well as many others to see what might be a good fit for our own home.
I fell in love with the products she introduced me to because they were not only pure but they also smelled amazing and had so many more uses than I had expected. They aren’t the least expensive but what I have seen is that again, other products are labeling themselves as natural and pure, but adding synthetic fillers and fragrances that make it less expensive, but also more harmful. My family’s health is priceless.
So I have taken it as my mission to help you and others learn how to get rid of things that might be harming their lives and how to know what is actually safe to replace them with.
