The Aroma Reset Technique - You will need pure essential oils such as Young Living Essential Oils
Step 1. Identify the Situation
Think of a current situation that feels overwhelming, frustrating or confusing. Once you can clearly picture it, go to step 2.
Step 2. Name the Feeling
Find one word that describes how you feel when you picture the situation. Examples: sad, hopeless, lonely, fearful, etc . . .
Step 3. Locate this feeling in your body
Examples: Head, Heart, Belly or anywhere else, or a “Bodily Posture” such as feeling slumped over or teeth clenched.
Once you have found it, go to step 4.
Step 4. Identify the Negative Thought
What is the negative thought connected to the feeling?
Examples: “I don’t have enough time” “I don’t have enough money” “I am not smart enough” etc . . .
Step 5. Smell Essential Oils
Place one drop each of Young Living Lavender, Frankincense, and Stress Away into your palms and rub together. Inhale deeply while focusing on the situation. Notice what happens to the picture of the situation, and to how you feel in your body and mind.
Step 6. Decide what is next. If you are:
A) Still agitated about the situation - go back and clear another negative feeling related to this situation (step 1).
B) Feeling calm - get on with your day.
C) Realizing that there is a bigger issue you need to clear - Do a Full Aroma Freedom Technique Session.
