Peppermint Pistachio Pie

Peppermint Pistachio Pie Recipe:

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 drop Young Living Peppermint essential oil
- Green food coloring (optional)
- Whipped cream and pistachios, for garnish
(I also added chocolate chips, cookie crumbles, and marshmallows for extra garnish spruce)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until crust is lightly golden. Remove from oven and cool completely.

3. In a food processor, pulse pistachios until finely ground.

4. In a large bowl, beat heavy whipping cream until it begins to thicken. Add in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, Young Living Peppermint essential oil, and pistachios. Beat on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Add green food coloring if desired.

5. Spoon whipped cream mixture into cooled pie crust, spreading evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until set.

6. Garnish pie with whipped cream and pistachios before serving. Enjoy the delicious, refreshing taste of Young Living Peppermint essential oil in this delightful dessert!

My name is Elizabeth and my life passion has always been helping others and that is why I am so excited you stopped by my website. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, a minor in Gerontology. I personally believe in holistic health care and the process of healing through mind, body, and soul. 

Essential oils are products I use on a daily basis for motivation to get my day started and as a natural remedy at night to promote relaxation and rest. I have used  lavender oil for years, even while I was pregnant and breastfeeding. I am raising my three children as "little oilers”. 


As a new mother I focused on removing household items that contain toxic chemicals such as cleaning products, air freshners, laundry detergent and dish soap. I discovered a safe alternative to replacing these items with affordable all natural products.


My goal is to increase awareness of the health benefits of using all natural products for adults, kids, babies, and animals. I am eager to share
 the opportunity to the foundation to a healthier lifestyle for the entire family through the variety of health, household, beauty, and nutrition items available in one place.
