Healthy Kids DIY Recipes  (That Your Kids Can Do!)
As parents, we always want what is best for our children. Their developing and changing bodies are vulnerable to the negative effects of harsh chemicals present in your store-bought personal care products. So, here's a challenge: Grab one or two of the products you use most often on your kids, and read the ingredients. Pick out a few ingredients and google "dangers of ______." Did i hear you say "YIKES" out loud? Does anything surprise you or alarm you? What if I can share some Healthy Kids DIY recipes, easy enough that even your kids can do it? #winwin

1. KIDS HAND WIPES
This is a super fun project for your kiddos. Ditch the yucky ingredients present in wipes, and switch to this all-natural DIY version. The citrus essential oils have powerful cleansing properties and their fragrance is so uplifting!

1 large glass jar with a wide mouth and an airtight seal
1 1/2 cups distilled water
1 Tbsp almond oil
2 Tbsp liquid castile soap
cotton cloths (cut and re-use old shirts)
3 drops YL Lemon essential oil
3 drops YL Orange essential oil

Add distilled water, almond oil, castile soap, and essential oils to the glass jar. Stir to blend all ingredients well. Add your cotton cloths, just enough until all cloths are soaked through. Close the lid and shake jar gently.

2. LAVENDER-HONEY KIDS BODY WASH
This does not only feel good on your child's skin, but the honey and lavender essential oil combination smells so so good! You may need to make two batches, so you can have one for you too.

16 oz container with a pump lid
1/2 cup liquid castile soap
1/2 cup distilled water
1/4 cup organic honey
1 Tbsp almond oil
10 drops YL Lavender essential oil

Add all ingredients into the container. Shake gently to mix all ingredients well. Shake well before each use. Can be used with a washcloth or apply directly to skin.

3. BABY AND KIDS SHAMPOO
Cedarwood and Lavender essential oils are so nourishing to your kid's hair. The combination of these two oils are also very calming and relaxing!

16 oz container with a pump lid
1/2 cup liquid castile soap
1 cup distilled water
2 Tbsp aloe vera gel
1 Tbsp almond oil
8 drops YL Lavender essential oil
8 drops YL Cedarwood essential oil

Add all ingredients into the container. Shake gently to mix all ingredients well. Shake well before each use.

4. FLORAL PERFUME SPRAY
Perfumes and colognes are laden with harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances. This is such a great substitute to your kid's store-bought fragrance. Buy some fancy perfume spray bottles and make several of these to give as gifts.

2 oz glass spray bottle 
1 Tbsp witch hazel
distilled water
8 drops YL Joy essential oil
8 drops YL Ylang Ylang essential oil

Add essential oils and witch hazel into the glass spray bottle. Fill the rest with distilled water. This smells really good!

5. KIDS CHEST RUB
Whip up this super-easy chest rub for easy breathing and happy lungs!

2 oz glass jar
3 Tbsp organic coconut oil
5 drops YL Rosemary essential oil
5 drops YL Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil
5 drops YL Lavender essential oil

Melt coconut oil in low heat. Add all essential oils to melted coconut oil and stir well to blend all ingredients. Spoon mixture into jars and refrigerate to allow mixture to solidify. Apply topically to chest as needed.
