Beef up winter blues with this uplifting blend.

8 drops Lemon

3 drops Ylang Ylang or Vetiver

8 drops of Lavender

4 drops of Orange.

Again follow instructions above to fill your roll on.

Now my favourite.  when you are warm and snuggly under your blankets and you require  a push to get going, this may do the trick.

Oils to fill your roll on and again follow the first instructions.

8 drops of Bergamot

7 drops Peppermint

3 drops Cypress

3 drops of cinnamon bark

With the holidays approaching it is when I really count on my oils to get me through. We have so many we sometimes forget we have an oil for that.

Here are some of my go-to list and why and how I use the oil.

I apply Immupower and Thieves to the bottom of my feet every morning to ward off the colds and coughs.

If you are looking for a warm drink I add a drop of Thieves and a drop of Lemon to a cup of hot water for a healthy drink.

I apply Frankincense and Rosewood to my face daily as it is wonderful for skin and making you glow.

  I choose Joy daily and I apply it over my heart to help with the day.

I am also doing the 25 Days of Christmas Diffusing which I have sent out to some of you and will send it to anyone who wishes to receive it.

Today I am diffusing the gift of Christmas 3 drops of Bergamot and 3 drops of Joy. One thing it is keeping me busy locating all the different oils to diffuse as I do have a great assortment.

The roller tops I really like to attach to different bottles so I can use as a roll on. 

Some of the ones I use as a roll-on Palo Santo  Great for sore backs or muscles and joints Also I have one on Kunzea, Panway and also Deep Relief. Also Copaiba. Copaiba magnifies the previous oil when applied on top.

Here is the hint for traveling with oils.

Seal the bottles tightly, prevent them from getting too hot, and consider a nifty carrying case. If you are flying, be aware of your airport you are flying in and out of. London Heathrow will totally make you throw away oils if you have more than a bag’s worth. Most American airports don’t care as long as the bottles are all small.

When you wonder what benefits of a certain oil is just Google It there is a fountain of information out there and it keeps it compliant.

I have been enjoying my Advent Box from Young Living and I was wondering how to share it with you.

There are a lot of people who are running contests and having you buy so much this month to get a chance for a draw. So after thinking long and hard on what to do this is my plan.

If you are anything like me you will be surprised at this information. Lindsey Elmore is an encyclopedia on uses of the oils and this information I got from her Club that I belong to  You also can join log onto lindsyelmore.com for a fountain of information.

Cedarwood supports the root chakra, which is the foundation of our security. When this chakra is in balance, we feel grounded, secure, and confident.

Add a drop of cedarwood to your toothbrush before brushing, or massage a drop or two directly on gums. Fortunately, cedarwood has a relatively mild flavor.

Dry Scalp Relief

Massage a few drops of cedarwood into your scalp after showering or just before bed to relieve itchy, dry skin.

In a 4 oz. glass spray bottle, combine:

Shake gently and spray on damp hair before brushing.

Cedarwood works on dogs the same way it does for people! Apply a couple drops to your hands and massage into your pet’s skin. Focus on the areas around the neck, chest, and ears. Be careful not to apply essential oils too close to dogs’ faces, as they are extremely sensitive to the aromas. Try adding several drops of cedarwood to a warm bath to soothe sore joints. Alternatively, you may add cedarwood to a massage oil and gently massage into joints. 

Cedarwood has been traditionally used as building material for offices because the aromas from essential oils emitted from the wood help maintain focus and concentration. The famous cedars of Lebanon were used to build a palace for King David. Check out this recipe for a Focus Roll On.

Cedarwood is high in sesquiterpenes and has a profound effect on the amygdala portion of the brain, where our emotions and memories are stored. As such, it can help provide the strength we need during times of crisis. Cedarwood is a great oil to use for releasing stored negative emotions and encourage mental security. Use this roller blend liberally and focus on releasing that which no longer serves you in a positive way.

To make an Emotional Balance Roller blend, combine the following in a 10 mL roller bottle:

Top off with a carrier oil of your choice.

Make a Custom Cologne

Cedarwood and other woodsy essential oils make great blends for the men in your life. Try one of the blends below or create your own. For tips on mixing essential oils for fragrance, check out this post on Blending Essential Oils by Perfume Note.

For the cologne base, combine the following in a 2 oz. glass spray bottle:

Lumberjack Blend:12 drops spruce, 6 drops rosemary, 8 drops cedarwood, 2 drops lemon essential oils

Manly Musk:8 drops sandalwood, 6 drops bergamot, 10 drops cedarwood, 4 drops pine essential oils

The Naturalist:10 drops balsam fir, 10 drops black pepper, 10 drops cedarwood, 1 drop grapefruit essential oils

Cedarwood is great for neutralizing and preventing odours. Make these cute shoe sachets and place them in your shoes to keep offensive odours away.

In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons baking soda, 6 drops cedarwood essential oil, 3 drops tea tree essential oil, and 2 drops peppermint essential oil. Carefully pour into a drawstring mesh bag. Place inside shoes in between wearing.

I attended the Young Living Canadian Convention this past month and it was amazing  3000 people all on oils! It was most informative and also wonderful to see Mary Young she is an inspiration to us all. 

While there I purchased the Advent Calendar which consists of 25 little boxes which I will start opening up tomorrow.
