Going back to evaluating how this challenge has been going. It can be beneficial to not only note the highs and the things that went well, but also what were the hardest moments. Analyze why it was hard and what, if anything, helped you to over come it or brainstorm what could help you to overcome it in the future. I know I try to fit too much into my day. I don’t necessarily “plan” the things I do throughout the day, except for schooling and what is most pressing. Right now it’s processing meat and harvesting and processing produce. My home and property are suffering as a result of my poor planning. I trudge long and try to keep up on it all despite the fact that I know somethings are going to get dropped or not finished well. I know I need to have planning times. Times where I literally sit down for an hour and I lay out the quarter and then the month. When I do these things and realistically look at what I can do and not do, it not only frees up my mind, but in turn my schedule. I’m able to plan fun moments for my family, or be willing to shift a task from one time slot to another to accommodate for a friend or emergency that may come up. Planning for interruptions is something that has been impressed upon me by a group called: Cowgirls Over Coffee. This group has been instrumental in giving me the tools to manage my life over all and my business. Now, it’s my job to use those tools!

This will not happen overnight, but one of the hardest things for me is managing my time efficiently. I know utilizing those tools I’ve actually paid for will help me to overcome those hard, overwhelming and some times disappointing moments.
What has been one of the hardest things for you? What can you do to change it or what did you do to change it. If you need ideas, let’s dialogue in the comments sections!
