ABOUT

"Native to Australia, tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is a compact tree that can grow to heights of 20 feet and is found along streams and wetland areas. Tea Tree essential oil is one of the most extensively studied essential oils and is widely regarded for its topical cleansing properties, with applications for skin, hair, and nails."

SOME WAYS TO USE IT!

  • As a spot treatment to help reduce the appearance of bothersome blemishes.  Dilution not required, except for the most sensitive skin. Use as needed.
  • Add it to the rollon you enjoy using during a cough.
  • Apply before bed to fingernails and toenails to help maintain their healthy appearance!
  • Whip up a FACE MASK consisting of –
    - 1 Tbsp. of ground oatmeal
    - 2 Tbsp. raw honey
    - 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice, and
    - 4 drops Tea Tree
    Mix ingredients in a bowl.
Apply desired amount to face and leave on for 10-15 minutes.
Remove mask gently with cool water and a washcloth.
  • Mix up a powerhouse toner for oily skin by adding several drops of tea tree with plain witch hazel.
  • Add 2-5 drops of Tea Tree to your natural laundry detergent for workout clothes, play clothes, towels and washcloths.
  • Make a shoe spritzer: Mix a few drops of Tea Tree and a few drops of peppermint essential oil in some alcohol.
  • I've used it with water for a throat gargle and mouth rinse. If you don't prefer the medicinal taste/scent of tea tree, use Melrose, Thieves, or clove instead!
  • Tea Tree oil is one of the most adulterated oils on the market. For safety sake, these recommendations and any on this website, only endorse Young Living oils.
