I have a headache....

I have a headache....
In August of 2021 I made the decision to get the Covid vaccine. My husband was very nervous and heard alot of stories about Covid and wanted me to get the vaccine. So I got it. Well, I had such a bad reaction to the first shot I chose not to get the second one. One of the side effects I had was a really strange headache with nausea. I had not any headache like it. My symptoms from Covid did stop by November of that year, but occasionally I would get that strange headache. It was not like the normal headache I would occasionally get.

So fast foward to December 2023. I broke a tooth and had it extracted. I was put to sleep with Propofal. I woke up with a sore mouth but I was fine. I had not eaten that morning so I was very hungry. I came home taking 2 Tylenol every 4 hours for pain. But by that night I had the worst headache I have ever had. I was neauseated. I laid down and was able to sleep a little. Woke up at 3:30 a.m. still hurting. Laying there I realized I was having a migraine headache. The downsize I had never had one but the good side is I had some Mgrain by Young Living. I applied Mgrain to my forehead and put Stress Away on my neck. Boy, what a difference it made. I went back to sleep about 5 a.m. I woke up at 9:30. and applied the Mgrain again. By the time my lunch with friends rolled around, my headache was gone.

Well, it so happened one of my friends at lunch had migraines. She gets migraines with Propofal. I have had Propofal in the past with no side effects. We ended up talking about my headache and agreed I had a migraine. I want to sing the praises of Mgrain oil. It worked so well and fast. I highly encourage everyone who struggles with migraine's to give it a try. It is another oil to add to my wellness cabinet. What is in your wellness cabinet? Is your cabinet filled with items to treat a surprise illness? There is still a 30% shorthage of drugs in the U.S. Think about it!

My Favorite Prodcuts for 2023 and Covid Update!

My Favorite Prodcuts for 2023 and Covid Update!
The year 2023 is behind us, but I want to give a shout out to several Young Living products that got me through the year!  I have written about Ninxgia Greens before but I want to give it another shout out! This product literally helped get my body back in shape to be able to exercise again. Just the thought of walking 2 miles was so overwhelming. But after using Ninxgia Greens for a while it is no longer overwhelming. I can walk 2.2 miles at one time, which to me is a miracle. Ninxigia Greens has no caffiene and is an all natural product. It provides lots of energy with emotional support. But, it is a green powder. My goal this year it to find a low carb protein powder  that contains no milk or milk solids that actually taste good. A powder I can add my Ninxgia Greens too and will taste like a milkshake. Ha! I put my greens in my Ninxgia Red but I do not love the taste. Any ideas would be welcomed.

The other product that has literally helped me and many others, is the CBD Soothe. I  worked with over 8 people struggling with a cough. My husbands doctor said there were like 20 virus's out there and many of them caused a cough. Soothe is great for a cough.  But, I recently learned you could  also use it as a skin oil. I will investigate this more for those of you who use Soothe. Even though Soothe is an expense, it last me a year. Which comes to $10 a month. For those of you with Asthma this is a must have oil. It has been great in my struggle with Covid. I do not know what I would have done without it.

I do have several other products that are honorable mentions. I will share those later in a different post.

As of last Saturday, I was still testing positive for Covid. Not sure why, because I do not feel bad. But I do get tired. So....Sunday I did not go to church but was able to exercise on Monday. Now the CDC says I am not contagious but, I could be. So, in trying to be sensitive to others I am not getting out much. The CDC says you have to hybernate for 5 days but I bascially have stayed in for 11 days. I understand I can test positive for up to14 days. I will test again on Friday. I am using Inner Defense during the day and taking Life 9 at night. Life 9 is a Probiotic. There is a new study that shows that people who use a probiotic are less likely to get Covid. I have also switched to injesting an oil antibiotic which will also build my immune system. I will update again next week. If you have any questions about these products please email me.

Oops! I Did It Again!

Oops! I Did It Again!
Well, I have done it again. I did not follow my own advice! I left last Tuesday for Tupelo to spend the day with my family. I had been very careful where Covid was concerned. I was wearing my mask, using my nose cream and spraying my body with Thieves spray. I had spoken with my sister. She mentioned that they had been around some friends who had Covid but that they were fine. And time had passed. I just was not thinking and took no percautions. We spent the day together then we came home. Well imagine my surprise when I woke up on Wedensday totally sick. I never get the flu but I had all the symptoms of it. I immediately took a Covid test and it was negative. I called my doctor and she said I had some type of virus. I did have a low grade fever of 100.4. She felt that if I had the flu, my fever would have been higher. I did have a steroid pack and she told me to start taking it. It helps with my asthma. Well, I had aches and pains with a cough. So I asked Glenn to go to the store and pick up some Theraflu. I thought if I take it and get better, then I must have the flu. Well I went to bed that night at 9 p.m. I woke up at 4 a.m. wet from sweat. I had sweated my fever away. By the next afternoon my fever was normal and I was on the mend. This was Thursday. Friday I still had a cough but was doing better. Then my sister called to tell me my brother-in-law had Covid. My doctor had told me to test myself again on Friday. So I did  and it was positive. Glenn tested positve also. Saturday my stepmother tested positive. Ugh! But,there is more......

I called my doctor and she wanted me to take Paklovid. This drug actually would react to my blood pressure medicine so she called me in another medication. Meanwhile, Glenn's doctor told him he could not take antivirals becasue of his cirrosis. Come to find out Paklovid is on backorder with all Publix, Walgreens and many Walmart pharmacies. But I was able to find the alternative that my doctor wanted me to take. It took all day Friday to find it. Guess what? That drug was $307. I said no! So I did some research and came up with a plan. Thank goodness for essential oils.  Covid is a flu and I started taking the F-bomb (flu bomb) 3 times a day and kept taking Theraflu at night.Theraflu really did help me sleep. I rarely use over the counter products but decided in this situation that it helped. The CBD Soothe has been a life saver for me. It has worked well with my cough.

Everyone keeps saying this Covid is contagious. I think they are right. And many people who have had Covid are getting this also. You can get Covid twice.  Be aware, Paxlovid is on backorder all over the U.S. My stepmother could not get it. If you get this strain of Covid I highly recommend Theraflu and essential oils. If you would like the F-bomb recipe just email me. Wear your nose cream and mask. Use Thieves spray or Thieves oil. Follow my advice.....I wish I had. More to come.....

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
