What’s the deal with my natural deodorant not working?
Have you tried natural deodorants before but they’ve been ineffective? 😬That’s because you need to detox your armpit first!

💨 Conventional deodorants and antiperspirants contain a variety of chemicals and additives. It takes something unnatural to block the body’s natural ability to sweat, and the chemical list in some deodorants is worrying:

☠️ Aluminum– Some evidence links aluminum to can-sir  and Alzheimer’s Disease

👶🏼 Phthalates– Endocrine disruptors often also found in plastic that can cause hormone imbalance and even infertility (especially in men)

🤧 Propylene glycol– Common name: antifreeze. It is a hotly debated additive in personal care products but it is reported that it carries a risk of immunotoxicity and allergies

🎀 Parabens- Another hormone disruptor and parabens have been found in biopsied tissue with breast can-sir

🦠 Antibacterial Substances- Also endocrine disruptors and can negatively affect the immune system

Heads up! 💡 Lymph nodes are located by our armpit so putting endocrine disrupters and toxic chemicals on these, which are part of our immune system, isn’t a wise idea.

A benefit of doing an armpit detox is that it may pull some of these chemicals out of the skin and tissue of the armpits. This can be especially helpful after years of conventional deodorant use.

After an armpit detox you’re more likely to be able to use natural deodorant and remain fresh all day. It’s the old bacteria and toxins that lead to the smell - not fresh sweat! 💧

You just need:
💫 1 tsp bentonite clay
💫 1 tap charcoal
💫 apple cider vinegar
💫 water

Put powders in a bowl and add equal parts water and ACV slowly. Mix together into a paste, apply, wait for it to harden/absorb and remove. Bear in mind it can take a few months to fully detox the armpit, so don’t discard your natural deodorant too soon! 💛

Hello! I'm so glad you're here!

My Young Living story started  9 years ago with the discovery that one of our children had severe food allergies. At the time, we knew there were ways we could improve the health and wellness of our family, but we thought it was limited to getting our flu shot more regularly, taking a multi-vitamin, spending more time on the treadmill, and going to bed earlier. We had no idea the journey we were about to begin.

My infant son's food allergies thrust our family into a life where we had to take charge of our health and wellness.  As we became more and more aware of the different ways our son’s immune system had been compromised, our eyes were opened to the awful, toxic things we were doing to our bodies. Over the last 9 years, we’ve been on a journey ordained by God towards natural health and wellness. We’ve taken control of our bodies instead of our bodies controlling us. We’ve become more proactive in the prevention of illness and disease instead of reactive. We’ve engaged our body’s natural ability to heal itself when treated properly and given the right stimulation. We’ve flooded our bodies with whole and nutrient-dense foods and eliminated the processed junk. We’ve begun accessing medical care in alternative forms such as chiropractors and integrative specialists, naturopaths, and midwives. And, we’ve turned to plant-infused, essential oil-infused products for our first line of defense. We’ve invested much time and energy, research and study into figuring out what oils work for our bodies and we have integrated them into our daily lives.

I recognize that each of us is on a separate journey towards good health and wellness. We are all on a different part of the path. It’s my desire today to meet you wherever you are and encourage you to take control of your journey. To be empowered to ask questions and consider more ways to incorporate the Young Living lifestyle into your life. Because for our family, it’s what has made all the difference.
