After a career in mining and oil & gas projects, I'm now speaking as a guest speaker and bring to the fore a number of areas of expertise which have formed part of my day to day living.
Topics I can speak about at your next event include :
Sustainable living practices in the suburbs
Water, soils & a host of other things
Gardening for food production
Quirky plants to grow
Nature's pollinators - all about bees
Oils aint oils - insight into essential oils
The 5 R's - recycling et al
Benefits of volunteering
Getting comfortable on video
Saffron, we only see some seasons
Backyard Fun
Growing more unusual plants can be novel, even quirky like these prettiest of flowers to bring us a few tiny strands of saffron. You could add to this a variety of citrus, fujoas, pawpaw, coffee, turmeric and a host of other quirky plants, Maybe others grow in your location? I talk about the joy of growing quirky plants including a selection of aromatic herbs.
Repurposing - War on Waste
We love it when we see others being creative like this tractor with a new lease on life repurposed as garden art - Sean the Sheep is hard at work. We've been known to be creative ourselves too and talk about a selection of these in my talk about the 5 R's.
Amazing what you can do with an old tractor and metal bits and bobs
Volunteering
I've been inspired into action privileged to learn from mentors in my speaker groups then aspired to leadership myself sharing and mentoring others with those same skills, I volunteer from time to time for a few not-for-profit organisations. I enjoy speaking about the tremendous benefits of volunteering and share some of my stories of the roles I've experienced.
