Ningxia Red is a whole-body supplement. It’s a blend of the Ningxia Wolfberry (also known as goji berries, a superfruit) along with plum, aronia, cherry, blueberry, and pomegranate juices and extracts plus pure vanilla extract and Lemon, Orange, Yuzu, and Tangerine essential oils. It also has an incredibly high antioxidant rating. Antioxidants make for an unfriendly environment for free radicals. If you don't know the effects free radicals have on your body, go look it up.
Where did it come from? In 1993 D. Gary Young met a man by the name of Dr. Cyrus McKell, who had been doing some collaborative research with Dr. Songqiao Chao, a Chinese scientist. Dr. Chao wanted to know more about essential oils and in exchange offered Gary information on his latest research project involving Ningxia wolfberries. Throughout this project, it was noted that the local people who were eating large amounts of wolfberries seemed to have greater longevity than those not eating wolfberries. Wow!!
Although many species of wolfberries exist, it is the Lycium barbarum species that shows the most health benefits. Gary wanted these for Young Living. Fortunately for him, Dr. Chao’s daughter came to work for the Young Living laboratory. She translated all of her father’s research and documentation into English and gave it to Gary. He then found a grower of the Lycium barbarum species in the Ningxia Province of China and was the first to import tons of the berries for commercial use. These berries, along with several other fruits, are pureed and mixed with Young Living essential oils to make up our beloved NingXia Red!
So why is it a must to drink this red drink everyday? Well…
- It supports whole-body wellness.
- It supports normal cellular function.
- It supports normal energy levels & eye health.
- It’s rich in antioxidants & d-limonene.
PLUS it tastes good!! Am I right?
You can add it to smoothies, juices, drink it straight, or even make fun things like popsicles and gummies with it. It’s recommended that you consume 1-2 ounces a day and it’s best served chilled.
Mmmm… Ningxia Nitro is another good product in the Ningxia Red family of products. Have you ever tried it before?
NingXia Nitro is a quick pick-me-up without the sugar or caffeine overload. Infused with essential oils, botanical extracts, D-ribose, Korean ginseng, and green tea extract, NingXia Nitro supports alertness, as well as cognitive and physical fitness. It comes in a small tube that you can throw down the hatch or mix into your NingXia Red! A box of Nitro comes with 14 tubes and is best served chilled. Bottoms up!
NingXia Zyng is another AMAZING Young Living product that not everyone knows about. Who here has discovered this delicious drink? Let me see those hands!
NingXia Zyng uses the same whole-fruit wolfberry puree found in NingXia Red! How cool is that?! Then they add sparkling water, pear and blackberry juices, and a hint of Lime and Black Pepper essential oils for a dynamic, unique taste. It’s refreshing, full of flavor, and contains no artificial flavors or preservatives.
With natural flavors and sweeteners, white tea extract, and added vitamins, NingXia Zyng delivers 35 mg of naturally occurring caffeine and only 35 calories per can, making it a sweet, guilt-free boost for your early morning, long afternoon, or anytime you need a little Zyng! Each case includes 12 cans. So worth it!
Now I know you have tried your NingXia Red, which contains wolfberries. But have you ever tried the dried wolfberries Young Living sells?
These organic dried wolfberries are a sweet, organic snack from nature that’s easy to make a part of your daily diet. The gentle drying process makes these USDA-certified organic wolfberries versatile and easy to incorporate into lots of recipes, letting you add wolfberry benefits to anything from stir-fry to baked goods! With polyphenols and polysaccharides, these exotic berries are touted around the world for their taste and nutrients. Documented use of wolfberries dates back to the Ming Dynasty, where they were part of ancient Chinese culture.
The NingXia Wolfberry is a complex carbohydrate, which means your blood sugar will rise slowly, reducing the risk of a sugar crash afterward. This is one reason why this drink is a much better alternative than conventional energy drinks from the store, which usually catapult you into a sugar high and end in a post-sugar crash.
