There are certain oils that are photosensitive, meaning that you don't want to wear them and go outside. It turns the pigment of your skin darker. These are mostly citrus oils, like grapefruit, lemon etc.
When using oils on your skin, always watch for redness and dilute with a carrier oil. Dilute oils on children, because their skin is more permeable and absorbs the oils more quickly what is a carrier oil? It is a fatty oil like olive oil or coconut oil, and ts molecules are much larger than those of essential oils.
Be wary of putting the oils topically near your eyes. Some oils, like peppermint, can cause a burning sensation. If you are placing an oil near your eye, apply the oil around the bony part of your eye. If you get it in your eye, dilute it with Olive oil or Coconut oil.
You can become desensitized to an oil if you use the same one day after day, so it is good to rotate the oils every 3 or 4 days.
In Canada, it is not recommended that we take the oils internally and thus our oils are labelled according
to Canadian laws. This past month we have the new Plus Line of oils. these are recommended for flavouring ie for
cooking.
cooking. When I joined Young Living I knew nothing about oils and started out with the Essential7 Kit. I was told just apply the oil to the bottom of your feet and the oil will get to where it needs to go. That is awesome. Here is a foot chart for your information.

How do they enter and how long do they last?
Tests have shown oils reach the heart, liver and thyroid in 3 seconds when inhaled, they were found in the bloodstream in 26 seconds when applied topically.
Young Living's Blog had Hug in a bottle article seven oils to inspire you when we need a hug day. The link is https://www.youngliving.com/blog/hug-in-a-bottle-an-essential-oil-guide-to-uplift-and-inspire/
Now for a tip or 2. I sprinkle lavender on my pillow and top it off with a sprinkle of copaiba which magnifies the lavender and I sleep like a baby and wake up refreshed to challenge the day.
Are you looking for a calming blend for your children or yourself?
This you can make using 10ml roll on. to diffuse use 1 or 2 drops of each oil for starters and no carrier oil.
10 drops Cedarwood essential oil
10 drops Lavender essential oil
10 drops Lemon essential oil
10 drops Vetiver Essential oil
10 drops Frankincense essential oil
Fill your roll on with Carrier oil and you have a nice Calming blend.
When putting in your diffuser 1 or 2 drops at a time you do not add the carrier oil to the diffuser.
