Changes.....

Changes.....
I am not big on changes. I am a creature of habit. But, this year is a year of changes to my beauty routine, family situations, and maybe a new address.  So....I will share....

I began the NEW YEAR with big frustrations with my hair thinning and my face aging. Which lead me to a different hair style and a new routine for my skin. Maybe some of you have noticed with each year you grow older, so does your face and hair. I started researching and found a great hair recipe for growth using essential oils. That was my first change. Then I went to a new hair stylist and that was my second change. She blew my hair out and it changed my look. I bought some new products and changed my hair style. Now I have to say this.  When humidity hits the South there is nothing I can do. My hair is going to curl. So on those days I just go with the curls.

My skin routine now includes a CBD oil and a Jade roller, with a Gua Sha tool. This routine has really helped with skin texture, brightness, and tiny wrinkles. The cost was minimal and well worth it. I love using more natural products on my body.

Even though I do not like change, these have been good for my for my self esteem and my personaI aging process.  Changes can come in many forms. not just skin and hair. My husband would order biscuits every morning before work. He decided not to do that anymore.  He lost 5 lbs, and saved money. He made one change that has affected his health and finances. My best friend who lost her husband years ago has decided to get a dog. She wants a companion. This is a big change for her, but I have not seen her this excited in a long time. Changes can be good.

Are there changes you have wanted to make but were afraid? Maybe a new beauty routine or a new exeercise routine? What about joining a church or a dinner club? Maybe a change in your diet or your daily routine? Or a room makeover! I am learning changes can be good and beneficial in many ways. Think about it. If you have any questions about my changes please contact me. I would love to help.

Jade Roller and Gua Sha.....

Jade Roller and Gua Sha.....
Hey guys, did you know that Americans spend 16.5 billion dollars a year on cosmetic surgery. Globally we spend $382 billion on Beauty products each year. So......yes I would like to look younger. But I would like to do it as naturally as possible with less chemicals and little money.

Well, in my search for youth and beauty I have found the GREATEST tool. I got these 2 items from Amazon together for $12.99 and they have really changed my skin. One is a Jade Roller and the other is a Goa Sha scrapping tool. Now it is NOT like me to invest in something like this but I could not resist. Also, when I got them I thought "how in the heck do I use these." When I need to learn something NEW I always go to YouTube. And yes there were plenty of video's on how to use them. Apparently these tools have been popular for a while.

So I use them in the morning to wake my skin up and at night to keep my blood flowing. I took a picture last month of my face and will show you hopefully at 3 months and or 6 months. Here is a link to the tool from Amazon for those of you who are interested. To quote Martha Stewart, "it is a good thing".

Need Energy?

Need Energy?
Yes, there are days I need more energy! In the past 2 months we have put my mother-in-law in an assited living, staged her house to sell....sold the house.....had an estate sale.....boxed up leftovers and donated them to a non-profit. My husband is an only child and alot of the time it was just the 2 of us. He also worked his job and I did events for my company. Needless to say we are tired and we needed some help with energy.

There are times in life we need a little extra boost. I could drink energy drinks or use a more natural product. So....here is the natural product I use. Just give it a try. Rub it on the bottom of your feet and around your kidneys near your adrenals. If you have any quesitons please let me know. Get  you some natural energy.......

Emotions and Essential Oils Class

Back in 2017 I found myself in a situation that caused anxiety and depression. I was struggling to get out of bed. Though I had used essential oils over the years I had never explored them for emotional issues. I found that some emtional oils created by Gary Young could help me thrive emotionally everyday. If you struggle, this class is for you. Judith McPerson and I will be teaching this class together. We will be able to guide you through the science and the remedy. This class will be through Zoom. I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
