Health Scare!
Well guys, several weeks ago I had a health scare. The weird thing is that it has not been resolved. But the good news is I am not dying. Not yet! So this is the story....

About 4 years ago a test found what the doctor, thought was a cyst on my kidney.  After further testing it was found to be a cancerous tumor. The good news is that instead of removing my kidney they removed the tumor through robotic surgery. The tumor was small and is not expected to come back. Interesting fact is my dad had a tumor also. It is caused by smoke. Neither me or my dad smokes so the doctor thinks it is from second hand smoke. Many members of my family smoked. Anyway, surgery was performed and I have had several cat scans since then. My most recent scan showed no reoccurance of the cancer. Or so we thought. A nodual was found on my lung and a grey area on 2 lymph nodes in my abdomen. My doctor set me up with a pet scan. I had the scan and it was nerve racking waiting for the results. I have good news and no news. The node in my lung was so small it did not show up. But I had 2 lymph nodes in my chest, and 2 in my abdomen that were lit up slightly. But everything is so small my doctor has no idea what it is. So I had an appointment with an oncologist and she also does not know what it is. I may have a procedure to try to get some tissue from the lymph nodes in my chest. If they cannot get tissue the oncologist will just watch me for a while and see if anything grows.I will get scans every 3 months. If nothing changes they will assume I am having reactive lymph nodes( caused by inflammation.) I have many people praying for me. Please if you feel lead pray for me.

Meanwhile, I just keep on taking care of myself. I have been working on keeping my body strong. I am working out at the Y, 3 to 4 days a week, drinking my Ninxgia Red with Ninxgia Greens plus taking my many supplements and injesting Frankincense. I am drinking my water and watching what I eat......I will keep you posted.....

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
