Do you ever feel paralyzed by self-doubt, questioning whether you’re good enough, capable enough, or strong enough to fulfill your purpose? If so, you’re not alone. But here’s the truth: God’s power is more than enough for whatever He’s called you to do.
Proverbs 16:3 gives us this encouragement: “Commit your works to the Lord, and He will establish your plans.” So often, we try to do things in our own strength, leaning on our limited abilities instead of relying on the limitless power of God. It’s exhausting, isn’t it? But when we surrender our plans and let God lead, something amazing happens. He provides clarity, confidence, and the tools we need to thrive.
This process of surrender is what the Bible describes as “dying to self.” It’s about letting go of our striving and allowing God’s greatness to shine through. Philippians 4:8 reminds us to fix our thoughts on things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. When we meditate on these things—on God’s truth—our doubts begin to fade.
Self-doubt thrives when we forget who we are in Christ. The Holy Spirit is our helper, our guide, and our source of power. Through Him, we have everything we need to overcome fear, hesitation, and uncertainty.
If you’re feeling stuck today, take a step back and surrender your doubts to God. Commit your plans to Him, and ask for His wisdom. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and actions. Let go of the impossible standards you’ve set for yourself and rest in the truth that God’s plans for you are good. He’s equipping you to fulfill your calling—not in your strength, but in His.
Trusting God with your plans doesn’t mean you’ll never face challenges, but it does mean you’ll never face them alone. His power is perfected in your weakness, and He’s ready to lead you into a life of purpose, confidence, and peace.
XO
