I was fortunate enough to grow up in a pretty healthy environment. I married a pretty healthy guy, had pretty healthy kids, and lived a pretty healthy life! I was pretty content with our wellness situation until 2003 when our son was struggling with headaches. A family friend suggested some holistic, plant based ideas we could try to bring him some relief. That was the first time I really turned to a plant as a 'tool' in my wellness toolbox. After seeing the decrease in the headaches, I started looking for other ways we could make positive changes in our bodies, our home, our budget and our environment. We ate better food, used less toxins, and added holistic care modalities to our wellness plans.
