How to become debt free and still stay sane
There is so much freedom from being debt free and mama, it is 100% achievable!! We have done it and I'd love to help you get there!

Here's 10 ways to make it happen:

1) Create a budget and stick to it: Budgeting definitely takes discipline and work. You will always have a limited amount to work with. Make it fun, Look for new ways to shop. Do you use coupons? Like to thrift shop? Is there a gleaners in town? Those are great ways to save! Look for little ways to cut costs any way you can. Also, make a list! It'll help not buying those little extra treats and impulse buys.

2) Pay off high interest debt first: Pay off those first and work your way down. Paying off high interest debt will save money each month because you will pay off more and more principle each and ever month.

3) Keep at least $1,000 for emergencies: Having a cushion is wise because we can always expect the "unexpected".

4) Go for generic: Not buying brand names can save a ton. You can get great organic off label groceries.

5)  Buy used when possible. When it comes to vehicles, clothing, sports gear,  furniture, school uniforms...you get the idea. There are many great deals on almost new, gently used items out there.

6) Rent movies, don't buy.  Check out books and movies at the library.

7) Bulk buy. Stocking up at Costco can save you money in the long run and stretch your budget.

8) Sell and purge things. Live a simpler life. It is much less stressful too!

9) Shop around... things like insurance, phone plans, internet. Cable plans can also be drastically cut if you can live without some channels. :)

10) Kids activities.. they don't have to cost a ton! Parks, playgrounds, pools, museums, national parks, local creeks and rivers, beaches, going out for an ice cream, taking a picnic lunch can save a lot!

I hope these are helpful!

Let me know if you need more information on how we became debt free. I would love to help you in any way I can.
