Knee Replacement 3.0+ Happy 4th of July

Knee Replacement 3.0+ Happy 4th of July
Okay guys this willl be my last update on my knee. I met with my doctor 2 weeks ago. We basically decided on maintenance physical therapy every 2 weeks, exercise at the Y, and basically whatever I needed to do to get my life back. It has been a year since I started this adventure. I still have no feeling in my knee and I still  struggle with my walk but hope in 6 months that it will get better. I can bend my knee about 104 degrees. My doctor has said that I am doing better than alot of people my age. I do not walk with a cane, my knee is strong, and I have very little pain. I can now walk 1.3 miles aroud the track at the Y. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will be up to 2 miles. I take one day at a time.

I do feel that the stress of the 3 surgeries has taken a toll on me.  From January to March I bascially would go to P.T. and the grocery store. I could do one thing a day. In March I started doing more. I am basically at the point where I can do two things a day. I am so thankful I do not have a job where I go in an office everyday. It would have made this experience so much harder. So what do you do when the stress of 3 surgerys has taken a toll on you physically and emotionally? Well, the first thing I do is apply several oils everyday for emotional support. It really helps me not to feel overwhelmed. I also make sure I am having a quiet time. Reading the Psalms brings great peace and joy. I know God has a plan for my and my kee. I also rest for one hour every afternoon. I read or sleep. I try not to feel guilty for resting. There are so many things I could be doing. Watching what I eat has been helpful. Eveyone loves comfort food but too much causes more stress on my body. More on that at another time. I have more stories to share.

I hope each of you are healthy and well. Please enjoy the summer. It is hot but there is nothing like summer sun. Please if any of you need help emotionally or physically please contact me. I am now offically qualified for encouragement after surgery support. Ha! Happy Days are ahead!
Happy July 4th!

Tuesday Night Study!

Tuesday Night Study!
Tuesday night, June 20th, we will be studying Essentail Oils and Blood Pressure. Anyone is welcome to join. It will be from 7:30 to 8:30 through Zoom.

The shortage of medications continues. I just saw a new report last night that said Cancer drugs are in short supply. Apparently there are several that are the base for many cancer drugs. India shut down the plant. So now the American government is going to try to get them from China. How many Americans trust China?

Here is the Zoom link to the class.  Everyone is welcome.

Please join my meeting at June 20, 2023 7:30pm Central: https://zoom.us/j/98999511482?pwd=azQ0SjR2WTBMTzRBclNNTmJxR2hRZz09

Lets Talk Fibromyalgia!

Lets Talk Fibromyalgia!
Monday was a hard day. I had a small flair up of Fibromyalgia. I am not allowed to say to much because of the FDA, but I am allowed to give my testimony. Here goes...

When I was about 44 I had surgery twice in one year.  One surgery was a hysterectomy. After the surgery, I just did not feel well even after 6 months. I experieced alot of pelvic pain. So I went to a pelvic pain clinic and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, As time went on I sought help from a more natural doctor. It was a game changer for me. The doctor put me on Flexril and a natural supplement. I learned to control Fibroymyalgia with exercise and an occasional use of an over the counter anti-inflammatory.  It really helped and after a year was able to handle it on my own, for a while. My doctor moved and there was not one like him in town. So....I began years of trying even more herbs, tea's etc.. Then 13 years later I began using Young Living Essential Oils. I began to build my immune system and to strengthen my body. After a few years I began to use Young Living's CBD oil and a supplement called Agilease. I developed a little different routine. I have done well. Just in case some of you are interested in my routine, contact me and I will share it with you.

Also, let me say this. There are many synthetic drugs to deal with this. I chose a more natural route because of the side effects of these drugs. I also had many friends who had taken these drugs and they encouraged me not to take them. These drugs caused weight gain and were very hard to get off of. Just a heads up!

I feel like my flair up today was from lack of sleep. Sleep is a big factor in Fibromyalgia. We have no air conditioner upstairs where we sleep. This past week the heat has been bad and I have not slept well. We got a portable air conditioner for our bed room and we slept well lfor the first night in a while. I hadbeen tired all day with extra overall pain. I actually laid down Monday afternoon and slept for 2 hours.

I will start my routine today to get the overall pain in control and work on a good nights sleep. If any of you have questions or need help please contact me. I would love to help.

Sometimes to have to work at having good health....A true story!

Sometimes to have to work at having good health....A true story!
I recently had a health checkup. I knew when they drew blood for a A1C test that is was going to be high. I warned the nurse it was going to be high. Why? Because the best way to keep your A1C down is through diet and exercise. Especially exercise with running or walking. I have not been able to walk long distances for more than a year. Well, the doctor came in and it was high. It was NOT over 7.0. Keep that in mind. I have a great doctor and she said "Look India I should be giving you medication for this, maybe Metformin!" Well, I said No! And then she said Ozempic. And I went crazy. I said "Ozempic causes cancer in rats". Well then she said, and I quote, "It also causes cancer tumors on your thyroid." Well I knew that, but I started with the cancer in rats. I could not believe she admitted it. Well, of course I told her No! So I just asked her to give me 3 months to get it down. I had just been able to walk around a tract and felt like in 3 months I could be walking 1.5 miles to 2 miles.  She said okay, but that if I did not get it down we would have to come up with something.

I know I could have taken the easy way out, but honestly there are so many side effects with these drugs I just did not feel good about them. Most of them promise to get you A1C under 7.0 and mine already is. But the truth is sometimes you have to fight for good health. And in the end the fight will be worth it. So I have some essential oils I will be adding to my Ninixia shot and will keep working on getting my legs moving. I am close to being able to walk 1 mile around the track. So close....

Is there an area in your health you need to fight for? I am pushing back against  dangerous synthetic drugs and moving onto healthy eating and exercise. Please cheer me on  Also, let me know  if there is an area I can cheer you on. I will keep you posted.

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
