The "super bug" is back! A True story!
Several weeks ago I read an article about a Covid outbreak. Sometimes I am not sure if I should believe the news about Covid. The news has not always been honest. So I did not really think much about it. Then Glenn announced his Uncle had covid. But. I knew that Covid was not really gone, so again I did not think that much about it. Then I spoke to my friend Walter, who works at a nursing home. He said there had been an outbreak of Covid there. Men whom he worked with had covid. No one told him. Then several days ago Glenn got a call from the nursing home where his mother lived. They had an outbreak of Covid at the home. He has not been able to visit her. Now, that got my attention. Also, a friend of mine said she saw a report that announced there was a new strain. It is called EG.5.  So I went on the internet and looked up cases in Alabama. There were 44 hospital admissions. Cases were up 94%. There were 5 deaths last month. I also noticed that the Y had installed hand Sanitizer wipes around the building. So what does that mean for us? Especially for those who have not had Covid..

Well for me, I will start using my Germ Fighting Salve at the base of my nose. This salve is made with essential oils. Covid is a flu and the salve helps keep the " bug" from getting up my nose. I will also use Thieves spray as extra protection. I willl lightly spray my body. I have not started wearing a mask, but if I do I will spray it with Thieves spray. Also, I will use Thieves Hand Sanitizer. If you would like the receipe for my salve let me know.

I am writing this for you guys to be mindful of sicknesses. Winter is coming and it seems everything gets worse. Protect you body inside and out. Watch what you eat and get plenty of rest and exercise.  Our bodys are made to heal themselves but it cannot if it is in a weakened state. We all know what stress does to the body. Wish I had a magic pill for it but I do not. Relax more and do not watch the news. Ha!  Let me know if I can help and stay well.

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
