Robert Kennedy Jr. (This is not a political post)
This is not a political post. I know that Robert Kennedy Jr. has his preference for President but that is not why I am mentioning him. I actually saw him interviewed on a show called Joni's Table Talk. Joni Lamb's show is on Daystar T.V.  Kennedy  is a friend of Joni's and he has a heart to clean up America's diet and drug companies.  So as the conversation with Joni went on Kennedy began to give some statistics that astounded me. Did you know that 1/2 of the children in the U.S. are overweight? Also, that 70% of our young people have some type of autoimmune disease. And 70% of our young men cannot serve in the military because of autoimmune disease. In the 1960's six percent of Americans had a cronic disease and now in 2024 it is 60%. Back in the one in every 10K kids had autism. It is now 1 in every 34 kids. Autism among boys is 1 in every 22. In the past most doctors would see, in their lifetime, maybe one patient with juvanile diabetes. Now one in every 3 to 4 kids is diabetic or pre-diabetic. The cost for this diseases is 3 trillion dollars a year. In Europe McDonalds fries has 3 ingredients. Mcdonalds fries in America have 17 ingredients. To fight obeisity in our children the U.S. government wants to give kids drugs that will cost the government 3 billion dollars a year.  Guess who gets that money. You guessed it!  The drug companies. Pure greed is making America a very sick nation.

Robert Kennedy Jr. wants to clean up our food and keep the drug companies from peddling their drugs. By the way, we are the only country that allows drugs to be advertised on T.V.  I do not know if Kennedy will get the chance to make a difference but I am glad there is someone out there who cares about our health. I am hoping the United States governement will have a change of heart and clean up our foods and drugs.

Now let me say this....I am guilty of being overweight. It is an everyday struggle to loose weight when your over 60. It is a battle but I learn a little bit more about my body everyday. I do exercise 4 times a week and and keep fighting and learning.

Education helps! Learn about the foods you eat and the drugs you take. What area's of your life need a make-over? What supplements are you taking? What is your daily food intake? Could you drop a few pounds? What can you do to enhance your health? Several things you can do right now....drink 1/2 your weight in water and switch to unbleached flour. Bleached flour is banned in Europe.

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
