Where Do I Go From Here?
Well guys, this January has brought much cold and sickness to my world. Eleven years ago, at this time, my dad had a stroke and was not doing well.  I ended up getting sick with Bronchitis. And I could not go see him because I was contagious. Little did I know that in a few short months he would pass. Anyway, I was new to Young Living and decided to work on building my immune system.  It took a year but I had not been sick like that in years. Until this month. This bout of bronchitis was one of the worse I have had. It has been 8 days and I am still very weak. This viral sickness has  also affected half of our church. Apparently it is very contagious. So, what can I do to not let this happen again? Where do I go from here?

It is obvious to me that my immune system has been compromised. I am not sure what happened but I know I do not want to go through this again. So it is time to be aggressive in becoming healthy again. Normally I take Inner Defense 6 months out of the year. But I have decieded to take it every month for a year. I am also adding Frankinscence to my supplements. Frankincense will help aid in making my immune system strong. I am also taking Life 9 for gut heath and vitamin D3. Ninxgia Red everyday is a must with Ninxgia Greens. I have always exercised. But I hope to walk some outside not just inside at the Y.  A little sunshine everyday helps with emotional support. I am Working on getting plenty of sleep.  One new habit I have developed is resting on Saturdays. It is my day to craft, read and rest. Sundays are busy for me and my husband. After church we often have meetings, luncheons and prayer. So resting on Saturdays really helps with a busy Sunday.

I am always working on my diet. This past Christmas I attended many luncheons and parties. My eating habits were not the best. Eating more vegtables and eliminating sugar will help in digestion and in the development of a healthy gut. I have been drinking lots of water while being sick so I am in a good place when it comes to drinking water. I am working up to drinking half my weight in water.

We do not have to be fatalist when It comes to sickness. We can be proactive by developing a healthy immune system.and a healthy gut. Quality of life is real and we do not always have to give in to illness. We can be proactive. Share with me some ways you are proactive. I would love to know......

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
