My favorite essential oils for pregnancy

My favorite essential oils for pregnancy
Certainly, during pregnancy, it's advisable to be cautious with essential oil use and choose oils that are generally considered safe for pregnant women.
Some of Young Living’s products are well loved and well tolerated by pregnant and lactating women. Here are a few essential oils that are often considered safe during pregnancy:

Mild essential oils such as Lavender, Grapefruit, Lemon, and Orange may be used topically or diffused during pregnancy.
Frankincense, a favorite oil among EO enthusiasts, can be used once a day as long as it is diluted properly—one drop of Frankincense to one teaspoon of carrier oil or lotion

Try to stick to using oils that are familiar and fresh. I like Citrus Fresh™, which contains citrus oils plus peppermint, and therefore is very multi purpose
Some of Young Living’s products are well-loved and well-tolerated by pregnant and lactating women. When using essential oils during pregnancy, it's crucial to prioritize safety and proper dilution. Here are some guidelines:

  1. Universal Essential Oils for Pregnancy:
    • Lavender, Grapefruit, Lemon, and Orange are considered safe for topical use or diffusion during pregnancy.
    • Frankincense, a favorite among essential oil enthusiasts, can be used daily when diluted properly—one drop of Frankincense to one teaspoon of carrier oil or lotion.
  2. Stick to Familiar and Fresh Oils:
    • Consider using Citrus Fresh, known for its versatile and fresh aroma.
  3. Nutritional Supplements:
    • Incorporate superfruit juices like NingXia Red®.   NingXia Red is rich in antioxidants, which can help combat oxidative stress. Antioxidants are important for overall health and may contribute to a healthy pregnancy.
  4. Snacking Options:
    • Slique™ Bars and NingXia Wolfberries can serve as healthy snack options.
  5. Calming Magnesium with MegaCal:
    • MegaCal, containing magnesium, can help provide calming effects.
  6. Addressing Pregnancy Challenges:
    • Morning Sickness/Nausea: Use Ginger or citrus blends like Lemon, Grapefruit, and Orange for relief.
    • Swelling: Apply Orange, Grapefruit, or Lemon on the feet to reduce swelling.
    • Pain: Consider Frankincense for pregnancy-related back pain or sciatic nerve pain.
    • Mood: Lavender, Citrus Fresh, and Orange can lift the mood.
  7. Other Single Oils to consider During Pregnancy:
    • Copaiba, Ylang Ylang
  8. Recommended Supplements:
    • Life 9 is a probiotic supplement that provides a combination of beneficial bacteria to support gut health. Probiotics can play a role in maintaining a healthy balance of gut flora.
    • Allerzyme is a digestive enzyme supplement that includes enzymes to support the digestion of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates.
    • Super C. Vitamin C is known for its immune-boosting properties. During pregnancy, a woman's immune system undergoes changes, and adequate vitamin C intake can help support the immune system's function.
  9. Important Note:
    • Young Living’s products are not labeled for the treatment or cure of diseases. Consult a medical professional experienced with essential oils for specific issues.
    • The information applies only to quality essential oils, and caution is advised for oils lacking purity testing.
