August Newsletter
It's finally August and while the days may still be warm summer is coming to an end or maybe it is already over for you and your family. 😱 Are you feeling happy or sad? SHARE HOW YOU ARE FEELING AND WHAT OIL YOU USE TO SUPPORT THAT FEELING.
It seems like everywhere I turn there are “back to school supplies.” What better way to prepare than with a little YL. Even if you don’t have kids going back to school, these tips can be useful for anyone. Just replace the words “school” with “work” and “teacher” with “boss!” ☺️
Here are two back-to-school or back-to-work favorites you will want to try.

“It’s a school night” combo is good for everyone: a little for you, a little for the kids. Everyone will sleep like a rock and wake up rested and ready to go.
Favorite #2
If you are wanting a good report from your child’s teacher, arm your kids with this focus roll-on. Teachers love it when you apply it before school and you will love it after school during homework time. When used regularly, parents and teachers have reported back that kids are able to stay calm and focus on tasks.
Remember, if you don't have kiddos, use this during work hours to stay focused on the things you need to accomplish.

M-GRAIN - do you need support for your head during many times of the month. Apply this to your temples and back of the neck for some soothing relief any time of day for those rough moments when it hurts to see the light!
ROMAN CHAMOMILE - This Oil is crazy awesome and has been out of stock forEVER!!! CALM is the word when I think of this!!!! I used it in the dental office, let’s just say that! Yes ma'am, I just held the bottle to my nose as they worked on me. It almost put me to sleep! It is one of the best oils for skin and healthy cellular support! It needs to be in your wellness cabinet especially if you have kids or spouses that need to chill, that have skin or that need to be healthy!
Here is our fun couple recipes to share and a product spotlight! Try them out and let us know what you think! I would love to hear your opinions!
INGREDIENTS: Lavender Orange Cupcakes
Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups cane sugar
- 1 1/2 vanilla beans, scraped (optional)
- 2 1/3 cups plus 2 Tablespoons cake flour, not self-rising
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 Tablespoons pure vanilla extract (use 3 Tablespoons if not using vanilla beans)
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 3 drops Lavender Vitality Essential Oil
Frosting:
- 4 ounces low-fat Neufchatel cream cheese, softened
- 2 ounces butter
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 4-6 drops Orange Vitality Essential Oil
- 4-5 cups powdered sugar
- Orange slices, for garnish
- Lavender sprigs, for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line 18 to 25 muffin tins with cupcake liners.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine sugar and vanilla bean seeds. Blend using the back of a tablespoon to loosen any clumps of seeds, and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add olive oil, eggs, yogurt, vanilla, milk, and Lavender Vitality Essential Oil. Mix for 1 minute. Add vanilla bean and sugar mixture and blend until completely combined.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.
- To make the frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and Orange Vitality Essential Oil together in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy. Add sugar 1 cup at a time on low speed until completely combined.
- Increase the speed to high and mix until very fluffy and smooth. Frost cooled cupcakes.
DIY AFTER SUN COOLING SPRAY - These oils are in your kit! Only use Glass spray bottles, Essential oils will pull petrochemicals out of plastic so never use plastic when using essential oils. Glass containers only, or Stainless Steel! (Oily tip)
Ingredients:
- 3 oz distilled water
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil (Intensify the cooling sensation with extra drops)
- 1 Tbsp Witch Hazel
- 1 Tbsp Aloe Vera
- Directions: Mix together and place in a 4 oz spray bottle. For an extra cooling effect, store in your refrigerator!!
