7 Ways to Use Essential Oils During the Holidays
Holidays. Essential oils. Two of our favorite things. When the two come together? Magic. Here are a few ways we love to incorporate our Young Living Essential Oils into our holiday season!

1. Peppermint-Lavender Roll On
This blend not only soothes sore muscles, it relaxes and invigorates. Help rejuvinate during the hustle and bustle of the season with this roll on. To make: take a roll on bottle, add 5-8 drops of peppermint, 5-8 drops of lavender (adjust to preference), balance with carrier oil of choice (olive oil, avocado oil, etc) and roll on (back, neck, shoulders, feet) when the mood strikes or the need arises.

2. Thieves Cleaner with a Boost
Most of us find ourselves cleaning more during the holidays, and what better cleaner is there than Thieves? During the holidays, boost your Thieves Cleaner by adding a few drops of Christmas Spirit. This blend of oil includes Orange Essential Oil, Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil, and Spruce Essential Oil, giving it a warm and fresh aroma. You and your guests will love how your house smells!

3. Essential Oil Air Freshener
It's great to have a bottle of essential oil spray on hand to freshen up any room. Keep this air freshener on hand in any room: in a spry bottle, combine Pine Essential Oil (3 to 5 drops), Orange Essential Oil (2 to 4 drops), and Lemon Essential Oil (2 to 4 drops) then balance with distilled water. Spritz to freshen and brighten your home!

4. Essential Oil and Epsom Salt Bath
Looking to unwind after a long day of shopping or entertaining? Add a couple of tablespoons of epsom salt with a few drops of your favorite essential oil (Eucalyptus Radiata is a great choice) and settle in for a de-stressing and energizing experience. (Add some relaxing music to the mix and let it all go!)

5. Sugar Scrub by the Sink
Here is a fun treat for all of your holiday guests. Mix sugar (organic cane sugar, preferred) and grape seed oil together in a bowl until desired consistency is reached (not too much liquid). Then add your favorite essential oils such as Grapefruit Essential Oil (2 to 4 drops) and Peppermint Essential Oil (2 to 4 drops). As always, adjust the number of drops to preference and size of container. Other combos could include Frankincense Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, and Bergamot Essential Oil. You can spice it up for the season with a combo of Orange Essential Oil and Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil. This is a fun recipe to play with what essential oils smell good to you. Place the sugar scrub in a jar with a little spoon next to your bathroom sink and when your guests visit your restroom, they can enjoy a mini-spa treatment when washing their hands!

6. Essential Massage Oil
The holidays are a great time to treat the one you love with a little extra TLC and what better way than with a homemade massage oil. You can use a dropper bottle or a pour spout bottle for this recipe. Depending on the size of the bottle, add Lavender Essential Oil (3 to 5 drops), Tangerine (or Orange) Essential Oil (3 to 5 drops), and Spearmint Essential Oil (3 to 5 drops) to the bottle and balance with grape seed oil (or a carrier oil of your choosing). Gently roll to mix and enjoy!
