Do You Have a Friend?
I have many friends. I seem to be able to make friends wherever I go. Having friends is an important part of life. My family is stretched out over the South. Even though my family keeps in touch over the phone, having friends close by is very comforting.

So....last week I was talking to my friend Molly about exercise. She has set an incredible goal to hike a certain amount of miles this year. But it can be a struggle when she has to hike alone. I am hoping she will find a friend to hike with on a regular basis. Exercise is a must for a healthy lifestyle. I have always been self-motivated when it comes to exercise. I have not had to have anyone to encourage me to exercise. But some of you may need a friend. Look around at your friends and see if there may be someone who would like a walking, biking or hiking friend. You could exercise together outside or even at the local Y. I use the Y and there are many women and men who have a workout buddy, If you go to our local mall at 10 a.m.in the  mornings, you will see many people in two's or three's walking the length of the mall.

If you need even more motivation, Young Living has a great essential oil called Motivation. Now, I do not use it when I workout, but it is time to do my taxes. Yes, starting tomorrow, I will use Motivation and Brain power, with some Clarity essential oil. I hate tax work and I do need lots of help, Ha!.

Today reach out to a friend or meet a new one. Friends make life so...much more fun. I am still friends with someone from kindergarten and I talk to my best friend from high school on a regular basis. Winnie the Pooh says "A friend is one of the best things you can have and one of the best things you can be." Reach out today to a friend.....

I learned how to enjoy life over 50......

Turning 40 was a magical age for me. I was at an age where life was easy. I enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting with my friends, homeschooling my son and serving alongside my husband in our local church. Even though I was overweight I looked good and felt good. But within a few short years my health changed dramatically. I developed respiratory issues, pelvic pain, and a chronic disorder characterized by “widespread muscle pain with fatigue and tenderness”.  Occasional anxiety set in. My decline really affected my ability to be creative, to minister effectively in my church and to function at home.

I suffered through a hysterectomy and many doctors visits. A change in seasons would send me in a painful roller coaster of antibiotics and steroids. Spending a whole day in bed became normal.  Age 50 came quickly with no lasting solutions.

Eventually I began to explore and research natural remedies. Something I was not taught in my younger years was lifestyle.  I considered that maybe my lifestyle was contributing to my health issues and my emotions.

One day I was venting my frustration to a friend who had been battling some of  the same chronic issues. We talked about some of the natural solutions I had read about. One of the  solutions she had used and had some great results with. I became instantly interested.

That is when my real life changing journey began. I found a solution that has contributed to a healthy lifestyle and brought about the quality of life I was looking for.  It is my mission to share with mature women, how to embrace the enjoyment of life over 50.
