December has arrived with a snowy bang for us here in Southern Wisconsin. We have had more snow here in the past two weeks than we had all of last winter! I know I am not the norm, but I love the quiet and slowness of winter. The cold weather and warm food are part of what makes it magical.

Here is one of my favorite recipes that is so fun to make around the holidays. You can use GF flour or regular. It was served to us 8 kids by my mom when we were young. We thought it was a fancy treat as it puffed up in the oven and looked like a magic trick. In all honesty, she probably made it as a way to make the grocery bill stretch feeding so many of us. We sprinkled it with powdered sugar but since I do not eat processed sugar anymore, pure maple syrup has been just as good. Let me know if you try it!

Facts about Young Living Sacred Frankincense you may not know.....
Do you know that Young Living oils are safe for babies and pets too? All kinds of pets like horses and cats and dogs and yes even goats and cows and then some.
My grand-babies have been slathered with oils, all kinds and many drops since the moment they breathed their first breath. Yep, I was present at their births in their homes and we put Frankincense on them the minute they were born! (Literally).
Why you ask?
Because Frankincense is the #1 oil for emotional trauma. (It’s traumatic being born) Yep, if you have experienced trauma of any kind, use it daily on the back of your brain stem or on your feet if you don’t like the smell. Do it consistently and daily for a period of several months, just one or two drops and watch what happens to your thinking! Really!
It’s also incredible for your immune system. It’s like having your immune system super charged so yeah, use a drop under your tongue or behind your ears daily as prevention or use several drops when it’s really needed.

It helps with cellular integrity. Yep. You can look that one up in pubmed.gov and there is lots of studies on it with YL Sacred Frankincense. Only ours is used in those studies.
It’s also great for when mishaps happen in life, severe or minor and your skin needs some attention. Yeah, like when I cut my wrist on sheet metal and ummmmm, that was not so fun but Frankincense and Helichrysum was my friend ever hour for a week. Yes sir, it works

It’s also good for babies, before they are born when you rub it on your belly and after they are born and when they are crying and when they are happy and when they are toddlers and teething and when they are confused middle schoolers and especially when they are angry teens to confident college bound, to middle age to old age and I even slathered my brother with Frankincense hours before he died because in the Bible it’s a holy anointing oil. It’s amazing through all stages of life!
It’s also wonderful to calm you. Yes. Emotional calm, does anyone need that? It’s my number one oil for me for that!
It’s also amazing for your eyes. Yes put a drop around the bony part of each eye daily and just be lovely and see your results after a few weeks. Consistency is key always when you want to experience change.
