From my fellow coworkers to my fellow working mommas, if I can give a gift that encourages a little relaxation and down time during the chaotic holiday season, then my job is done! Ornaments filled with bath salts made with my favorite essential oils are the perfect holiday gift for everyone on your list!
Bath salts are one of my favorite handmade gifts to give! Who doesn’t need a little down time or “me time”?! And I totally LOVE the idea of filling an ornament with the perfect amount of bath salts needed for a relaxing, deliciously scented bath! Okay, let’s get started!
Supplies
- Plastic ornaments – this is the size I used*
- Bath salts – easy 2 ingredient recipe below
- Small funnel
- Cute holiday tags
- Red & white bakers twine* Or pretty ribbon
- Faux leaves and holly berries (optional)
Directions
In a glass bowl (or large zip close bag), mix together 1 cup of epsom salt, 1/2 cup baking soda, and 10 drops of the Young Living essential oil of your choosing (I prefer Lavender) . Stir/mix to combine and add about 1/4 cup to each of the ornaments. On the tags I also make sure that I mention the instructions to add all salt from the ornament to warm running bath water Or if you do add more bath salts than 1/4 cup, no more than a 1/4 cup should be used per bath.
Wala! Done, now wasn't that fun, and they make wonderful, thoughtful gifts
