Hey there! I taught a Wellness Class the other day and our topic was "Good 'Til The Last Drop - Healthy Cooking With Oils". We discussed basic guidelines in cooking with Young Living's Vitality essential oils, and talked about healthier substitutes for salt and sugar. Yes, we learned some pretty cool alternatives to white refined sugar (please avoid this poison as much as you can!!!). I prepared my homemade healthy chocolate bar to share in the class, and everyone loved it, loved it, loved it!!! Many of you have asked me for the recipe since I posted about this on Facebook … so here it is. Enjoy my homemade healthy, sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, keto-friendly, protein packed, oil-infused chocolate. #guiltfree
Homemade (Healthy) Sugar-Free Chocolate
Ingredients:
1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup peanut butter or almond butter (or half cup of each, but if it's in your budget go for the almond butter)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup organic coconut flour
5 teaspoons Swerve natural sweetener or Monkfruit sweetener or 1/2 teaspoon of Stevia
a pinch of pink Himalayan salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup of your preferred nuts like almond, hazelnut, walnut, macadamia etc (optional)
Directions:
Add coconut oil and almond butter to a small saucepan over medium heat until melted. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients, then add to the almond butter mixture and stir to blend all ingredients well.
Pour into a silicone baking mold, and place in freezer overnight.
Transfer to the fridge the next day. Enjoy!!!
