Perfumes and Colognes!

Ditching conventional perfumes is possibly one of the most impactful things you can do for your health, but that doesn't mean you can't still smell great! Whip up your own, customized perfume with this simple recipe and change your scents with the seasons!
When it comes to making your own perfume, you will want to layer different scents to create base fragrances, mid-tones, and top notes. When you smell a perfume, the top notes are typically the first thing you smell, followed by middle and then base notes. When you are actually making the perfume, you'll want to start with base notes first and work your way up.
Base Notes: These are about 15-30% of the blend. Think heavier, warm scents like:
  • Vanilla
  • Cedarwood, Spruce and ‘tree oils'
  • Frankincense, Myrrh
  • Sandalwood, Vetiver
  • Patchouli
  • Clove, Cassia, Cinnamon
Middle Notes These should be the bulk of your blend at 30-60% and are usually full-bodied, complex, and comprise the focal point of the blend while also balancing other components.
  • Rose, Jasmine, Geranium
  • Lavender, Chamomile, Rosemary
  • Ylang ylang, Clary Sage
  • Cardamom, Ginger, Lemongrass, Black Pepper
Top Notes These should be 10-25% of your blend. These oils are sharp, uplifting, refreshing, and light to finish off the blend.
  • Peppermint, Spearmint
  • Grapefruit, Tangerine, Lemon (citrus oils)
  • Eucalyptus, Basil, Juniper
  • Pine, Sage
Choose one or two scents from each category, and combine them until you end up with a fragrance you love! Lighter recipes work well for the warmer months, while cooler months are great for deeper, spicier combinations.
If layering feels too complicated, simply follow your nose! Grab a few bottles of oil, open all of them and hold them under your nose together to get a feel for the aroma. Trust your instincts as to what you enjoy because you truly cannot go wrong!

DIY Perfume Spray Base Recipe
  • Pretty glass perfume bottles
  • 1 Tbsp V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex (or any unscented carrier oil)
  • 2 Tbsp pure grade alcohol or vodka
  • 30-40 drops of essential oils of choice
  • 1 Tbsp distilled water
  • Optional add-ins for beauty: dried flower stems, gemstones or fresh, organic flower petals.
Recipe Ideas
  • Summer Citrus: 10 drops grapefruit, 10 drops orange, 5 drops peppermint,  3 drops Lavender, 3 drops Roman Chamomile
  • Anthro Inspired: 10 drops Grapefruit, 10 drops Bergamot, 5 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce, 5 drops Citrus Fresh

  • Flower Power: 5 drops each Rose, Jasmine, 7 drops each Tangerine, Lavender

60 Second Emotional Reset for Kids

60 Second Emotional Reset for Kids
Everybody needs a fresh start now and then.
 A reset.
 A do-over.
This is the essence of the 60 Second Aroma Reset, a shortened variation of the Aroma Freedom Technique.
For kids, this technique is especially beneficial. Because the focus is on the individual’s current emotional state, the positive results of a Aroma Reset can be immediate!
Whether they woke up on the wrong side of the bed, brought home a poor grade, or had a fight with a friend, a 60 Second Aroma Reset may be just the ticket for your child!

Depending on the age of the child, they can go through the steps on their own, or be led through the series of questions.
—What is happening?
—How do you feel now? [Emotions wheels work great for this!]
—Where do you feel ___________ in your body? [Use their feeling word.]
—What negative thoughts are you thinking about all this? [Use age-appropriate language as needed like “mean”, “bad”, or “unhappy”.]
—Put 1-2 drops of the Memory Release Blend (Lavender, Frankincense, and Stress Away) on the child’s palm.
—Rub palms together, cup hands over nose and mouth, relax, and breathe.
—Think about and focus on the situation and how you feel.
—Wait for and notice the emotional/energetic shift.
—Talk about the child’s experience and how they feel about what’s happening now.
—Move on with the day!!
Children can move very quickly through an Aroma Reset or an AFT Session because they don’t have as many negative entrenched experiences as adults often do.
We keep a pre-made dropper bottle of the Memory Release Blend, which makes this process a total breeze! Just use an empty bottle and put equal parts Lavender, Frankincense and Stress Away inside. Plus, if your kids love oils as much as mine does, you’re going to see some dramatic emotional differences in your little ones!

Or you would rather start your oily journey with more options for emotional and physical wellbeing   This is a deal for YOU!

Great News this same reset can assist an adult with a cranky attitude as well!

It's Time to Check Your Vision

It's Time to Check Your Vision

Have you been having trouble achieving a specic goal?
Are you allowing other less important things to get in the way of accomplishing what you really want?
Then, it’s time to do a VISION check.
Just as it is important to get our eyes checked regularly to assure that we will be able to see clearly, it is equally as important to do a VISION check to be certain that our goal is on track.
Vivid Picture
Have you created a vivid picture in your imagination as to what your completed goal will look, feel, and sound? Have you added lots of sensory detail, paying particular attention to what emotions you will experience when you have achieved your goal? Many people omit this step or they make a half-hearted attempt at it. As a result, their completed goal is not real to them so it becomes very easy to get distracted by day-to-day events. This step takes time and thought which is why many people don’t do it. However, if you don’t have a clear picture in your mind as to what you are trying to accomplish, how will you ever attain it? Developing a clear, vivid picture is critical if you want to achieve your goal.
Inspired
Are you inspired by your goal? Does thinking about it make you smile? If not, then go back to your vivid picture and change it until you are excited about it. Goals take effort. They often require that we change and do things that may be a stretch for us. If the goal isn’t something you really want in the rst place, then why bother trying to achieve it?
When you come up with a goal, don’t limit yourself by what you think you can accomplish. Decide what you truly want. Many people have achieved enormous success in their lives because they had big goals. When you are inspired enough by your dream, you will nd a way to make it a reality.

Th LifNever GivP!e Coach's Content Bible

Sustained Belief
Do you have a sustained belief you will achieve your goal? If you don’t expect to accomplish your goal, then you probably won’t. Sometimes it takes extraordinary courage to believe, in the face of all evidence to the contrary, we will be successful. Things go wrong. Problems come up. It is easy to get discouraged. That is the time when you most need to have sustained belief. You can get through the difcult times if you believe you can. People rise to the level of their own beliefs. When you believe you will be successful, then you will achieve success.

Identify
Do you identify with your goal now even though you have not yet achieved it? We must begin to identify with the person we want to become. Once or twice each day, play the picture of your completed goal in your mind. Live your goal in your imagination and experience all of the wonderful emotions that go with it. As you continue to do this, you will nd that your thoughts and behaviors become more aligned with the person you will be when you achieve your goal.

Observant
Are you observant as to what actions that are taking you closer to your goal and those that are moving you further away? When we create an action plan for our goal, some of the ideas included in it will work and others won’t. After you take a specic action, observe the result. If it is positive, then continue to do it. If you don’t get the result you expected then modify it and try again. By being observant about what is working and what isn’t, you can adjust your strategy as needed so you will continue to move closer to your goal.

Never Give UP!

Have you adopted a never give up attitude? Have you made a decision that you will not quit no matter how long it takes to achieve your goal? If you don’t have this attitude you might nd that obstacles overwhelm you. They might be too difcult to overcome and there is a strong likelihood that you will quit before achieving what you want. However, when you adopt a never give up attitude, there is a power and conviction within you that will carry you through until you reach success.

So if your VISION is fuzzy, don’t worry. By making a few adjustments, you will be able to clearly see your goal to completion and experience all the joy and satisfaction that are part of the package.

SOOOO how do I do this?  One way is by doing an AFT.  What is that?  An Aroma Freedom Technique yes a technique created by a phycologist using the purest of essential oils. Several are super useful   to help clear out the fuzzy I use a blend of Frankincense , Lavender and stress away.  then honing in or clearing the edges of my vision with  any one of the following oils. Transformation, Lemon, Valor.  or any oil that smells happy to me!!
This is just one of the ways.  making sure I diffuse oils through out the day also assists my  mind to actually live out my goals. Also making sure I am nourishing my brain!!!  Soooo many ways I support my goals and vision.

You see there is a correlation with  our physical eyes vision and our spiritual eyes and our emotional eyes!!

Doing the work to give my body , mind and spirit.

So a testimomey I shared  four years ago that still holds true today!

"Guess who had an eye doctor appointment today and was told that yet again since last check up my eyes 👀IMPROVED ?????
Yes last check up my prescription was 5.25 far sighted.  And this time was 4.75.  About 4-5 years ago they were a 6.00
So maybe there is something to taking care of yourself and giving the nutrition you need and getting toxins out of life that your body CAN heal itself! "

Born to be an Optimist?

Born to be an Optimist?
"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity.  The optimist see opportunity in every difficulty." ~~Winston Churchill
An optimist, when faced with a problem, tends to  find the upside to the situation and starts
figuring out ways to solve that problem, or ways to turn it around. A pessimist, however,
immediately throws up his hands, and yells, “That’s it; it’s all over. I can’t handle this anymore.”
Or he will distance himself from the problem, pretending it doesn’t matter. This is denial, and it
never works.

According to the world's foremost expert on optimism, Dr. Martin Seligman, everyone is born
optimistic. And yet, 95% of grownups are pessimists, not optimists. What goes wrong? Some
people see the glass as half empty. Others see it as half full. But is it really as simple as that? Is
it possible to be a bit of both?  While much of this could be trauma related still can be healed.

When you think about it, most people tend to be an optimist sometimes and a pessimist other
times. Ironically, a lot of times things turn out according to how we feel about the situation. If a
person feels like something will go well or feels optimistic about it, it usually seems to go well.
The same is true of the reverse. When someone feels like something will go badly, it tends to do
just that.

An indication that you are dealing with a pessimist is in a simple phrase they will use in stressful
situations - “I can’t”. The pessimist is helpless, powerless and it shows in his response. The
optimist responds with - “I won’t”. The optimist is making a conscious choice, not just reacting.
An optimist prefers to think more positively. They focus on what they really want, not what
might happen to them.

Think about the following statements.

~ Optimists achieve their goals because they never give up
~ Optimists attract Success naturally
~ Optimists are happier, healthier and more energetic than pessimists
~ Optimists are easier to be around, inspiring people around to be positive
~ Optimists live longer and suffer from fewer and less severe diseases
~ Besides the above, optimists lead higher quality of life.

These are all probably true just by the fact that optimists’ positive thinking makes challenging
situations “not that bad” after all.

Now true optimism is not sitting back, thinking positive thoughts, and hoping everything will
turn out all right. It means you take each thought and the it captive to have discernment to live in Faith over Fear. It's how you see the world, positively rather than negatively.  You face each situation, each problem, and each occasion with a positive attitude; and you always look forward to the "Benefis" you will derive from it.  You have a choice.  "change your thoughts and change your world" said Norma Vincent Peale.  What it comes down to is that your attitude is a conscious choice.  if you choose pessimism, you are choosing to see the down side of every situation, judge people unfairly, and live unhappily the rest of your life.  What an oppressive existence!

So I choose to find the "Or Statement". meaning I find the way out of the negative.

Some of our minds are so set in their ways that we need a little help cleaning out the old way of thinking.  Which is why I use pure essential oils in my practice of working with taking our thoughts captive.  If want more info I would be glad to help you!  We have so many options for helping our "stinking thinking"

Thanks for hanging out with me for a few moments

7 Why's of Goal Setting

7 Why's of Goal Setting

7 Why's of Goal Setting

While it can be fun to live without direction in the short-term, in the long-term human beings are wired to need a purpose and direction. Goals give a sense of direction and purpose to life.

It is often easy to let others set our direction for us. We take a job because family or friends point us in that direction and then we follow the dictates of our bosses. We move in other directions because popular culture or the media tells us to do so. The simple truth is that if we do not set our own goals then we will find it too easy to follow a path set by others. This can lead to stress and unhappiness. We have a greater chance of happiness and fulfillment following our own path and pursuing our own goals.

While goals certainly give our lives direction, they also provide the motivation to get us through difficult times and choices. Perhaps going to college at night while working full-time may be stressful and difficult in the short-term, but in the long run being able to pursue the professional goals we desire will make it worthwhile.

Goals also serve as the destination for what we really want out of life. For some people, goals are measured in money or material goods, while for others goals are measured in time or freedom. If we do not have goals outlined that suit our unique perspective on life it is easy to become sidetracked by life and others.

Goals can also help save time. When your "To Do" list becomes too long and your calendar too full, then you can simply compare your goals to the list. What items help you achieve your goal? What items are necessary to your goal? Scratch off the rest as unimportant.

Just as goals save time they also reduce stress because using your goals to focus your life and choices makes it easier to make those choices.

Finally, goals give you a measurable sense of accomplishment. Every goal you achieve, in fact every step you make toward that goal, can give you a boost of energy and momentum to keep going. Each success powers you toward the next level of success.
