When I started with essential oils, all of the labels were the same.. just solid colors. There were no white "vitality" labels. But a few years ago, the FDA changed the rules for how essential oil companies are allowed to categorize and market their oils' uses.
The FDA now requires that essential oils be labeled for “dietary” use --OR-- for “aromatic/topical” use. They are no longer allowed to be labeled for both at the same time.
So the different labels are to show you which ones are marketed for dietary/internal use and which ones are marketed for aromatic/topical.
The white “vitality” labels are telling you that you can take these oils internally for dietary purposes. The solid colorful labels are telling you that the oil is for topical/aromatic use.

So if you have peppermint vitality and peppermint (for topical/aromatic use)... what are the differences in the actual oils?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I repeat, there is NO difference! They are the exact same oil! It’s just the label and SKU # that are different.. And this is only so they can be put into the appropriate category to abide by FDA regulations.
So do you need to buy both the “vitality” and regular bottle of peppermint if you want to use it both internally and topically?
To stay compliant with the FDA, I am not technically allowed to tell you that you can use just one of these bottles for both internal and external use. But what I CAN tell you is that these 2 bottles of oil are the EXACT SAME OIL and there is absolutely no difference between the two bottles except for their labels.
