Gentle Reminders | Amy* Always Blooming | Amy Laux
What happens right before you realize your filled-almost-to-the-brim schedule may be too much?

Earlier this week, I found myself scrambling to catch up at my day job with the tsunami that is my "desk" (projects & emails & tasks). As well as needing to devote more time serving women who want to simply feel better. My head was going in many directions trying to make sense of what to do. I sat there wondering – what can be taken off my plate? In that moment I realized, maybe I simply need a break, like a safe harbor in the chaos, if you will.

I found myself opening an email, the content was promoting peace & inner joy & freedom. The invite was to a professional conference on learning how to have these in your life.

It felt like my eyes were opened anew. I was reminded – Jesus is my peace. He provides the freedom I desire. The next morning, a sweet friend emailed me Nehemiah 8:10  "The joy of the Lord is your strength." Oh how He meets me right where I am at, gently reminding me Who He is.

As I shared last week (read update here), since June 2022 I have been intentional with wellness-focused protocols to simply feel better. Whereas recently I have begun to pray & read my Bible more, this week it hit me hard … I need space in my schedule that is focused on the peace that Jesus provides.

Not remembering to bring my actual Bible (I am doing the caregiving portion of my schedule right now), today I bought a new one, in large print (#IYKYK), and a devotional book (titled Still Small Voice). Now, I simply need to be intentional with my spiritual well-being, which will help my mental & emotional well-being.

Are you overwhelmed? And wanting to simply feel better? Read here how I came to the realization that I needed to give myself grace, and focus on one thing at a time to Simply Feel Better.

Meet Amy Laux

Hey, my name is Amy.
I am a city-dwelling #FarmGirlAtHeart
putting decades of experience to use as I share
about walking everyday, single life, healthier eating,
spreading encouragement, career changes, and daily habits.

I serve women who are overwhelmed,
wanting to simply feel better.

ARE YOU busy taking care of all the things- your kids, your aging parents (or grandparents), maybe even your grandkids, your thoughts, your job, home, finances, your family's health, your well-being? And the list goes on, right?

In the summer of 2022, I was overwhelmed with things leaving me tired,
unfocused, anxious, overweight, etc. Determined to find purpose, I decided to focus
on simply feeling better, with the hope I would share what I learned
to serve women who are overwhelmed.
