Joy Is Still Coming
Have you ever had a moment where you wonder…
Is anything actually changing?
Perhaps in a discouraged, kind of hopeful way—
an honest pause in the middle of your day.
an honest pause in the middle of your day.
I’ve felt that recently.
I’m working through another recovery. Starting over again. Reaching small goals I’ve accomplished many times before—
Sitting up on my own.
Walking on my own with crutches.
Driving myself to physical therapy
Walking on my own with crutches.
Driving myself to physical therapy
Sometimes, I feel like I’m in a time warp.
And yet…
I’m continuing to do my protocols, holistic wellness, and nourishment to care for my body. I’m showing up where I can—differently—but present. I’m letting that be enough for right now… and friend, it is hard.
And still… part of me wonders when things will feel different.
When healing feels lighter.
When strength feels more natural.
When life feels a little more like me again.
Every month, I pray and ask God to give me a Psalm for the month. This month—Psalm 30.
If you know my story, you’ll smile a thousand smiles with me. This Psalm is filled with JOY—and truly reflects my last 57 months on this healing journey. THESE are the God-moments that anchor me.
As I read it again, I felt a gentle reminder:
Just because I can’t see it yet…
doesn’t mean it’s not unfolding.
God is still working.
Not all at once.
Not in ways I can always measure.
But steadily. Faithfully.
Not all at once.
Not in ways I can always measure.
But steadily. Faithfully.
And maybe that’s what this season is asking of me—
Not to figure it all out…
but to trust that something good is already being formed--something beautiful.
but to trust that something good is already being formed--something beautiful.
Because even when it feels slow…
even when it feels unclear…
even when it feels unclear…
Joy is still coming.
He will turn my mourning into JOYFUL DANCING—
(from a worship dancer… to a worship dancer at heart, until I can use my legs again.)
What about you? What are you holding on to that needs to shift to joy?
One JOY Tip
When your thoughts start asking, “When will this change?”
gently shift to: “What is God already doing that I might be missing?”
gently shift to: “What is God already doing that I might be missing?”
Trust me—if you look for joy, you will find it.
Scripture to Hold for JOY
“Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” — Psalm 30:5
JOY for the Journey
What feels unfinished… isn’t forgotten.
God is still moving—
and joy is still on its way. Will you believe with me?
and joy is still on its way. Will you believe with me?
