Have you ever felt like you just don’t have it in you to keep pushing?
Not because you don’t care…but because you’re tired. Pressed.
Walking through things you didn’t plan. Can I meet you there, friend?
Walking through things you didn’t plan. Can I meet you there, friend?
I’ve been in that space again recently. Working through some bumps and unknowns. Feeling tested. Pressed. And at the same time… grateful to be here—just as I am.
I returned to pool PT this week, escorted by my son (learning to drive) and my sweet little butterfly—my big helpers. I could not do this without them. We even celebrated with their favorite—St. James frappes.
And in the middle of it all, I felt it again:
This season isn’t about pushing forward. It’s about being held.
Every recovery for me brings a kind of pruning. Bittersweet. Letting go of what I thought things would look like. Facing what is. And choosing to trust God in it.
And if I’m honest? I’m running on Jesus because I’ve got nothin left.
But maybe that’s the point.
Because this is what I keep hearing in my spirit:
“Trust me. Just be still. Just be held.”
Preparing the way doesn’t always look like striving toward what’s next.
Sometimes it looks like embracing your perfectly imperfect progress and celebrating the wins that often get overlooked.
Like allowing God to meet you right in the middle of the unknown. Oh the peace that lingers there.
Like allowing God to meet you right in the middle of the unknown. Oh the peace that lingers there.
One Joy Tip
If you’re tired of pushing, try this:
Stop asking, “How do I push through?”
and instead ask,
“Am I willing to just be held?”
and instead ask,
“Am I willing to just be held?”
Scripture to Hold for Joy
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14
Joy for the Journey
God is still writing your story. Not just in the victories—but in the pauses, the pruning, and the moments where you are simply being held. There is still joy here. And friend… God’s not done with you either. Something beautiful is waiting for you.
