If you’ve noticed things have been a little quiet here lately, there’s a pretty wonderful reason…
We have a new grandson! ❤️
Our family has been soaking up all the excitement that comes with welcoming a new little person into the world, and we are feeling incredibly blessed. Most of all, we’re grateful for a healthy birth, a healthy baby, and the chance to simply enjoy this very special time together.
And honestly, it hasn’t only been about the new arrival. I’ve also gotten to spend some extra time with my other grandson, so lately there has been a whole lot of grandson time around here.
And I’m still soaking it up.
This grandma is smiling ear to ear…and resting a little too. 😉😂
There’s just something about time with family that has a way of reminding you what really matters.
The snuggles. The little conversations. Watching their personalities grow. Seeing your own children as parents. And now, welcoming another little person into our family.
Those are the moments you don’t get back.
And sometimes, that means other things need to wait.
I had blogs I planned to write. Things on my calendar I intended to get done. And for a little while, those things simply haven’t been the priority.
I think we can be so quick to look at those pauses and feel like we’re falling behind.
But maybe we aren’t behind at all.
Maybe we’re simply choosing to be present for what matters most right now.
That doesn’t mean the things we care about disappear or that we’ve forgotten about them. Sometimes we simply set them down for a little while, give ourselves some grace, and pick them back up when the time is right.
Without guilt. Without feeling like we need to make up for lost time.
Life has a way of interrupting our plans. Sometimes those interruptions are difficult, and sometimes—like this one—they are incredibly sweet.
Either way, we’re allowed to adjust.
So yes, the blog has been a little quiet. But behind that quiet has been a whole lot of family, gratitude, grandson snuggles, laughter, and remembering just how blessed we are. ❤️
And I wouldn’t trade any of that for a perfectly kept schedule.
I’ll be back with my regular blogs soon. But right now, I’m giving myself permission to keep soaking up this season, enjoy my family…and get a little rest in between all that grandma time. 😉
Thanks for spending a little time with me today.
Wellness doesn’t have to be about fixing yourself. It can start with learning to listen, getting curious, and discovering what support looks like for you.
