Thyromin
Have you ever taken a supplement to naturally support your thyroid?
This post is designed to help you decide if this product is right for you or a loved one. Although I am a doctor, this communication cannot replace a doctor’s visit.  If you have a primary physician monitoring your health, please share your supplement regimen with them.

What is a Thyroid
Small, butterfly-shaped gland in your neck and regulates your body’s energy use. Every process, including growing hair and burning fat, takes energy. When the thyroid isn’t functioning in tip top condition, energy your follicles need to function, slows down.

What is Thyroid Disease?
Any dysfunction of the thyroid.

What is Hypothyroidism?
Thyroid hormones are too low, or under-active. Symptoms usually develop over years. Some people will complain of weight gain, skin changes, hair thinning, loss of eyebrows and/or fatigue. But, just because you have those, does not mean that you have hypothyroidism and you will need a doctor’s diagnosis.

What is Hyperthyroidism?
Here, the thyroid produces too much thyroxine. Many will experience weight loss and increased  or irregular heart rate. Fine, brittle hair is another common symptom. Most doctors will prescribe anti-thyroid meds or even suggest removal.

What is Triiodothyronine?
Thyroid hormone that affects almost every physiological process in the body

What is Graves Opthamology?
Protruding eyeballs. This, and the swollen neck, are signals to visit a doctor ASAP.

What is Hashimoto’s?
Autoimmune disease that attacks your thyroid

There are many more diseases. However, I just wanted to provide an overview.

So why do we want an Iodine supplement?
The body uses iodine to create thyroid hormone.
If you don't eat iodized salt or eat sea vegetables, your diet may be deficient in iodine.  It is a very common deficiency.
Iodine deficiency can lead to thyroid disorders, including goiter (enlarged thyroid gland) and hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), which can result in symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, and cognitive impairment.
