(If you haven’t read You’re Not Stuck, I highly recommend you start there. It lays out a simple process to help you move forward.)
There comes a moment…
It feels like a fork in the road. Or like you’ve hit a wall. A place where you have to decide:
Will I stay where I am…or take a step forward?
Will I stay where I am…or take a step forward?
Staying can feel easier, right? Even if things aren’t how they should be. We stay there because moving forward can feel hard, unpredictable and exhausting.
But what if a breakthrough doesn’t require a complete overhaul? What if it starts with a simple yes?
April 1st I stepped into my second 90-day plan for this next season: “stay in my lane.” THIS is a BIG challenge for me. I love homeschooling, baking, cooking, family time—and my work. I truly love what I get to do. But right now, those areas need to be just a little quieter.
So in humble obedience, I’m putting my healing first—again, and even more intentionally this season. I’m on a mission to break through my physical therapy wall. Not with pressure or overdoing it—but with clarity and a peaceful understanding that this process will require patience and a lot of trial and error.
I'll share my top three goals with you:
Decrease quad atrophy.
Walk with one crutch in my home—and none in my room.
Take my first trip since surgery at the end of June.
How do I plan to do this? One drop at a time. Because that’s how you fill a bucket.
My goals are small—but meaningful and doable. Enough to stretch me… but still within my capacity. And just as important—I have a clear pathway. Because when the brain is overwhelmed, it slows everything down. But when the next step is clear and simple, your mind and body can move with it. That’s how change happens. One step. Repeated.
And here’s the faith part I keep coming back to:
God isn’t asking for everything.
He’s asking for your yes.
He’s asking for your yes.
Your yes to the next step.
Your yes to trust Him in it.
Your yes to trust Him in it.
Because He’s not finished with your story.
Not here. Not now.
JOY Coaching Tip
Here’s a simple way to move forward:
1. Choose your lane
Identify one area where you’re struggling to stay consistent.
Not everything—just one. Life doesn’t have to stop everywhere else…
just let it get a little quieter.

just let it get a little quieter.
2. Create a clear, small pathway
Decide what progress looks like in that one area.
Decide what progress looks like in that one area.
Not big leaps—just meaningful, doable steps within your current capacity. Clarity is key. When your brain knows what to do, it stops overthinking.
3. Take one step—today
Not five. Not a full plan.
Just one intentional step forward.
Because progress doesn’t come from pressure—
it comes from consistent, simple movement.

Scripture to Hold for JOY
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” — Psalm 37:23
JOY for the Journey
You don’t need a full plan to move forward. Just a willing heart…and one small YES.
A song to hold onto in this season:
God's Not Done With You
