Have you ever felt a shift after days—or even months—of feeling stuck?
Recently I experienced one of those moments. After going up to the altar for prayer and an evening of pouring out my raw emotions and surrendering everything to God, something began to change. Over the next few days, three different God-moments echoed the same message: “Be strong and courageous.”
And then I started noticing the small shifts.
Pool PT went better as the additional MCAS stabilizers seemed to help. For a little while, I was even walking around the house without crutches. My body felt a little stronger, and my heart felt lighter.
But healing journeys are rarely straight lines. After celebrating that encouraging day, I soon found myself back on crutches again and under mandatory rest so my body could prepare for the next step.
And yet the shift remained praiseworthy. Why?
Because the real change wasn’t just in my body—it was in my heart. It was profound moments when God reminded me I'm not alone. That is where my joy is anchored.
God doesn’t ask us to carry tomorrow.
Just today.
Today I’ll nourish my body.
Today I’ll move a little.
Today I’ll celebrate the wins.
Today I’ll trust the healing work God is doing.
Today I’ll move a little.
Today I’ll celebrate the wins.
Today I’ll trust the healing work God is doing.
Preparing the way often looks like taking one faithful step at a time—trusting that God is working even when progress doesn’t look the way we hoped.
One Joy Tip
When your mind starts racing ahead, gently bring it back to one simple question:
What is one faithful step I can take today?

Joy for the Journey
Faith doesn’t mean the path becomes easy. It means we keep walking—even when the steps are small.
One day.
One step.
One quiet victory at a time.
One step.
One quiet victory at a time.
