Don’t Do Summer Alone
There’s something about summer that can quietly pull us in a hundred different directions.
Vacations. Activities. Different schedules. Late nights. Trying to “make memories.” Before we know it, we can feel disconnected—even from the things that matter most.
One thing that has helped me in this season is keeping connection simple. This summer, I plan to continue something I started back in November 2025 shortly after I turned the Big 50. I plan to continue connecting with friends through daily devotionals on the Bible App.
What I love most is it's just a simple way to stay grounded in the Word and connected to each other. It has blessed my heart and pulled me through some crazy times. It’s a gentle reminder that we were never meant to do life alone.
Sometimes we think connection has to be big to matter like
a girls’ weekend, a long coffee date, or hours of deep conversation.
But often, the most meaningful connection comes through small, consistent moments like a shared devotional, a quick message, or a prayer sent at the right time.
Simple things still build strong relationships. And in seasons where life feels busy or overwhelming, staying connected helps anchor us.
Not just emotionally—but spiritually too. And that matters.
Isolation has a way of making everything feel heavier. But encouragement? That lightens the load.
JOY-FUELED COACHING TIP
Try this simple summer reset:
1. Pick a devotional
Download the Bible App. Choose something short and encouraging.

2. Invite a few friends
Not a huge group. Just a few people you want to stay connected with this summer.

3. Keep it simple
Take moment to reflect on your devotional and use the comments to share what God is putting on your heart. Read through your friends' comments. Simple rhythms create meaningful connection.
